Inner Universe and Rise were two of the very best anime opening songs of the 2000s and it was all thanks to Origa's beautiful, passionate voice. To have her life cut short at such a young age when she could have still giving the world more of her songs is just too tragic. She will be most sorely missed.

I remember hearing the openings on Adult Swim and getting so captivated by her voice. I didn't even watch the anime but I've had both openings on my iPod for years now. So sad since she was still young :( R.I.P.

Nooooooo! That's terrible news. Origa and Yoko Kanno were such a wonderful combination. I'm really sad we won't hear any more of Origa.

Please RIP. You had a wonderful style and will be missed dearly. :(

The SAC series would not be the same without her opening songs to set the mood. But less well known is her resplendent performance of the haunting ending song of Fantastic Children (if you can find the lyrics, it is worth reading them too):

With all the upcoming GITS animes, I was hoping she could do a song for it again. But that can't happen now obviously...

Yeah I remember randomly having Inner Universe on my Ipod nano, not because I watched the show (yet at the time), but because I just loved the song so much.

I found so much comfort in that song during my teenage years.
