This episode had a decent balance of comedy and emotions imo. Eijun is still reeling from his team's loss and seems to even be a bit angry. Not that I blame him though but that's just life..

The pacing felt a bit slow though imo. I hope it picks up again soon. Still, Jun was pretty damn awesome.

Didn't expect Miyuki to take up the clean-up position too.

Man, the national field looked really amazing with everyone lining up too. Inashiro already making it to the finals.

Wow, it really was quite the emotional scene when Sawamura confronted Jun. To accept his weakness under such circumstances and to see it again and again really is inspiring.

Jun releasing his feelings, quite the nice episode! Hope Kawakami gets his feet together soon.

wow. Inashiro is really on the roll. And love how they show what's happening at the Nationals with Inashiro and at the same time with Seido. That end part with Jun was emotional... gonna miss the 3rd year guys~

They better be showing us some character development. The team as it is now is crap compared to they one with the 3rd years, they'll never reach nationals this way.

Wow I recovered more respect for Eijun. Some senpai advice toward the end haha.

I actually hope that Inashiro loses in the finals though. That would be interesting.

Aww Eijun, still mad at himself for being the "weak link" during the match against Inashiro. I'm proud of him though for being able to admit it to himself and everyone else, to openly talk about it, and having rewatched the video again and again to accept the truth. That's how improvement starts. Idk about Kawakami, and maybe he had done the same thing as well, but he's been really in the dumps and I'm glad Jun said something to him, to try to get him going. Miyuki too has been mulling over how to help Kawakami, so much that it affected him during practice. Which also reminds me, all those responsibilities Miyuki has to shoulder now. All I have to say is, good luck, and Tetsu believes in you :D

Okay episode this week, felt really slow. Judging from the preview it sounded like the new coach has arrived???? Hopefully Kataoka stays on as coach though. I hope Inashiro win nationals so that when Seido meet them again next time round they will beat them as national champs and prevent them from defending their title making the win that much sweeter!

Im salivating right now at the thought of such sweet revenge!!!!

Hate me or whatever but even though Sawamura is like the main protagonist I've grown to like Furuya way more, and I kinda wish he was the MC.

Really wish they would stop showing how well Inashiro are doing. I hate Mei, I hate Carlos, I hate all of them in fact... I'm not bitter at all...

Anyhoo A nice episode with Sawamura being very Sawamura and Furuya being very Furuya if you get what I mean.

Let them replay it more, let that hate sink in more, until when sawamura and co finally pip them to the national spot next time, revenge will never feel sweeter.

It's so darn hard to digest Seidou's bitter loss. And every time the seniors show up in the OP or ED or in the episode all those memories come back flooding T_T

Feels like seido vs inashiro had been a better match than any of the nationals matches.

I think Inashiro will get destroyed in the finals. At least i hope so, because that would be good character developement for Inashiro too. And we would have a new enemy/rival team.

New coach? I wasn't feeling good hearing that since Kataoka is too BA but from the new coach's tone in the pv I have a feeling he's the type of character I like :3

Glad to see Sawamura coming back ^^ Isashiki's talk was really nice XD

Hope Furuya can get his BAness upped :3

This was a slower episode, but still quite enjoyable. I'm so sad for the 3rd years; they were good senpai and the main firepower of the team. The others are going to have to work really hard to build themselves up to Koshien level.

I like Mei and Inashiro, but I think it would be good character development for them to lose the final. It will make the next season that much more high stakes!

Shouldn't Sawamura, Harucchi and Furuya be 2nd years soon? The preview suggests new members will join Seidou's team.

There cant be new members per se, right now is September, and they are preparing themselves for the fall game.
So third years left the team, to prepare themselves for umiversity exams, and they left vacant spaces in the team, which 1rst and 2nd years will fight to get.
Sawamura is still a first year, and he will continue to be, until march.

Nice episode, I really want to see the new Seidou line up already though I doubt I'll ever be able to like it as much as the old one, damn it I really liked the 3rd years.

I'm actually kind of hoping for Mei to win, I don't hate Inashiro and Mei is the best pitcher we know so far in the series. It does kind of bother me he hasn't given up any runs at Koshien though, just how "strong" are the teams there when Seidou managed to get several runs off him? I know Seidou's batter line up was considered top notch but even then, the teams who are competing at Koshien are all there because they defeated all the other schools in their region, it makes them look really weak compared to Seidou and that pisses me off even more that they lost.

^ the entire episode I was pretty much thinking about how strong seido really was with the third-years. I mean, for them to have such a close damn match with Inashiro.... the fact that Inashiro is in the same district is a shame. If they weren't in the same district, it's almost certain that seido would have made it to nationals.
frick. it's been a while but I still cried a little when eijun said Inashiro wasn't better than the third-years ;_;;;;;;

Even though there are the same number of schools competing in each district (I presume, I'm not entirely sure), it doesn't mean each district has the same average level of strength/skill. Tokyo probably had some great schools compared to the rest. It just goes to show how seido was a really good team.

Knowing of Seido's loss, I stopped watching at episode 61. But I finally decided to continue watching and I'm glad I did. I still dislike how Seido loss and how Inashiro advances to the finals already. But watching the characters are the best part of the anime, in my opinion. I feel like I should learn from them.

Exactly. Plus the rythm of this episode felt rushed as hell. A timeskip would have worked way better and not wasted 15min of time.

Mei is too OP!! He always pitch in the game and never get tired or injured!?
I feel bored watching other games (without Seidou on it) especially if it's Inashiro! Grrr *yeah, I'm bitter xD *

I miss Raichi!! Hahah

I really don't understand fall competition, they can play at National if they win the fall competition?

Probably because that’s all they show lol. Him being good. Him seeming all cool and calm. Him pitching. Him getting more attention. Sorry I know you wrote this years ago but I love sawamura as a mc. He just in games isn’t as recognized. In real life y’all probably wouldn’t even like Furuya. He ignores ppl and says the same thing over and over and he’s distant. Comepared to sawamura who’s outgoing cheers people up and plays and can take jokes and smiles so cute. I like optimistic people more than someone who will barely talk unless declaring war of taking ace. I get why he’s like that and nothings wrong with his personality but geez people really always hate mc when they act like shounen protagonist and I don’t know why. They seem so lively and honest and that’s who they are. So if people can accept the abnormal quiet characters why don’t they like the weird energetic ones?

Some great motivation from Jun to the underclassmen even to Kawakami who is the most gloomy. After defeating our boys Inashiro better not lose as that would kinda mean Seidou would've lost too with their teams being on the same level.

Same feelings, Jun. Inashiro winning or losing - I don't want to see either of them. I just want to see Seidou move on and get stronger. They lost a lot already.

I mean, Inashiro winning would mean Seidou is on that level, but Inashiro is the one taking the spotlight and that pisses me off. Literally skipped their game in this episode. I just really don't want anything from them at this point.

On the other hand, it was nice seeing Raichi and his team again. I like their coach a lot. We're both the same, too. We want money. :')

Pleas don’t tell me that he’s still struggling with the pressure

Of course you’ll win if you have a super human in your team and an insane pitcher.

My gosh they’re sweeping the nationals
