I've never had an actual coconut so I can't say. I do like the coconut filling in chocolates and on cakes though.

I love them.

There was a time when I was a kid that I told my mom to just buy me a coconut. I'd never had a whole one before and I just had to experience opening one for myself. Cracking it open is a trip in itself, so when I finally got into it, it was a pretty sweet reward. I drank the juice and then spent the rest of the day carving chunks out and eating them.

Guess it's a strictly acquired taste.

I love the smell and taste of coconut, but I can not eat anything with coconut itself. I can't stand the texture of it. So it's fine in drinks or whatnot, but just cant stand to eat it.

I use coconut oil for cooking and I like to drink coconut water sometimes. Curry with coconut milk is good too.

How do you use it for cooking? I think I'd like to try that.

Hell to the no. Coconuts are evil.

1. They taste horrible.
2. They smell horrible.
3. They feel horrible in your mouth or really any part of your body.
4. Ever tried coconut shavings? They suck.
5. They're hairy. That's gross.

In conclusion, Satan-sama made coconuts and they should not exist.

I don't like pineapples and I don't like coconuts.
Yet look at the bullshit products they come out with.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Clear-American-Pineapple-Coconut-Sparkling-Water-1-l/16767877

They took away my perfect Cranberry Grape for that (from all the stores I go to, they still make it I guess).
But fine. Less aspartame poisoning for me.

But seriously, coconuts are gross. I can't believe German Chocolate is even a thing.
The texture of the coconut is gross, it tastes like you bit into a pill and all the powder in the pill came out and it's awful.
People keep on giving me coconut things for my birthday; I think they're testing me. My mom even tried to get me a German Chocolate birthday cake, like... why are you doing this to me? ;_;

Enjoy your anime!

Just spoon it and use it like you would with liquid oils if that's what you're asking about. I don't cook much, though.

Yup I do.
In fact I have one in front of me right now... And I might just go and crack it open now when you mention it.

They're okay. Eating a coconut directly doesn't exactly taste better, but it does feel better for some reason.

opening your own very first coconut could be a rite of passage to something on it's own

there's just something really mystical about it
