Do you ever feel "empty" after watching a certain anime?

I'm having this issue right now. I just finished Magi 2 and I feel empty inside, longing for more. The anime had such an impact on me and I got attached to the characters and the ending song, which triggered this "empty" feeling.

Have you ever felt that way? How do you cope with it?

Another generic thread. lol

I cope with it by watching another anime/reading another manga.

Yea definitely.

After I finished Guilty Crown, it left me with a "void." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yeah after finishing a really great anime it feels really empty. The feelings usually only last a couple of days, but boy those days are just depressing as fuck.

Finished HxH a couple hours ago.

Waiting until tomorrow before I start anything new D:

After watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, I stared through my window, wondering what the point of life was as my lungs ached with how much I'd cried.

The first part is exaggerated, but I did cry until my lungs hurt, and it was a painful experience. But I seriously felt empty after finishing it. I didn't particularly want more. It just felt as though my heart was pierced through, in a bad way ;-; The feels were too real.

It never rises off my chest. For me I live with all the disheartening feelings I get after watching an anime, whether it was sad or joyful, knowing no more kills me. With over almost 40 animes finished,at this point you could say I'm masochist now.
To Clarify: My name was not Natsu inspired. I came up with it when I was 5 (2005) on Lego.com, and I definitely didn't watch anime back then.

Happens quite often since the anime that I watch normally don't have many episodes.

I deal with it by searching for the next one to watch ^_^

Well, I feel suicidal after watching a very beloved anime like Brynhildr in the Darkness. So I tried to inhale helium because I hear it's a painless way of suicide, but instead, my mum came in and I tried to explain I don't want to live anymore.

She burst out laughing because of my high squeaky voice.

Then I got sad and decide to wank off to BBW on pornhub.

All because I felt so empty after watching Brynhildr in the Darkness.

(Seriously, fuck that anime. Worst anime of 2014).

I usually open all the windows, light votive candles, cover myself in ash, apply chicken blood to forehead, cast a magic circle, set my nipples on fire and pray to Koalemos. That usually helps until I wise up and read a book instead...

Nah, not when I finish it. I only feel that way when I watch the most recent episode and have to wait a week to continue.

Once I finish an anime, I just move on to the next one.

I only feel that way if the show I just watched was soul-crushingly depressing, though I quickly fill that hollow with anger at having wasted my time watching it.

Usually when I finish something amazing I feel great.

Felt pretty empty when HxH finished. The rate at which the manga is moving along just makes it worse.

I don't think it's ever happened to me with an anime, or least not for long periods of time. However, that was the case when I finished Teen Titans.. Such a depressing ending.

If I finish an anime that I love so much enough to consider leaving a void in my heart, it must have had an amazing ending. And amazing endings never leave a void.

TTGL did that to me after I finished the show in one sitting (both movies included)

After like a week or two, I just started watching other anime and eventually got over it

My exact same thought. I mean basically YES.

After I seen Valvrave, Aldnoah.Zero & everything. I feel like I'm taking it too seriously sometimes (sometimes I get traumatized, sometimes I get raged & say FFFUUUUUU... & everything).

I mean it's like my reaction towards anime in a nutshell.

Am I the only one? It's a feeling hard to explain. Or even worst, when you finish a Anime, and you want more, but you know for sure there won't be anymore?
