It's a nice balenced list this week with lots of new picks on it, besides all the big publishers are accounted for, which also is good to see.

Anyway with the events of ladt week topic its quite ironic that Aot vol1 is missing, though we will see that one soon enough after the storm of vol1's has passed, dont ya think :)

The lack of Attack on Titan Vol.1 is almost disturbing after it being on it as much as it has, especially considering it was 2nd last week

Fantastic to see Titan 1 finally off the list. Hopefully it stays off now.

Seeing it be beat by our Goddess Miku makes it extra sweet.

I'm glad to see Deadman on the list, and also Assassination Classroom is going strong. I have high hopes for it.

7000 is way too much,NY population is around 15 times lower than Japan.
Not only this as the amount of people buying mangas is also way lower.

It's about 1k for the weekly first place, sometimes 2. It's really low, compared to France.

i.e:

And I think Naruto in it's entire run sold less than 15 million volumes in the US. Despite topping the list the most after Dragonball.

Whoops seems it's not that lower compared to France. I mistakenly assumed that the 50-100k sales I saw were monthly but it's yearly.

http://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-51-5516573-1-0-1-0-meilleure-ventes-mangas-2008-en-france.htm

It's still higher in France but not by an extreme lot. Naruto and Sailor moon are about 50k unit yearly I think.

But when you consider the fact of population on both country, and that people from others country even buy from US sometimes. It clearly shows that france market manga is very big.

I think Citrus, Hatsune, and Noragami Vol. 1 are the biggest surprises on this list. I didn't think yuri manga sold well.

AssClass is looking like a big hit and the anime just started.

Wow, I really didn't expect Citrus to make the list at all! It's the biggest hit yuri manga since Girl Friends I think. I'm really happy about that; and Noragami is back too!

I really need to buy the Unofficial Hatsune Mix. I read a bit of it at the bookstore and it's great.

Lots of neat surprises this week.

RightStuff has sales based on publishers. Citrus and Girl Friends are both Seven Seas Entertainment, and, right now, they just started a Dark Horse sale, publisher of UHM. Thanks for the recommendations. I'm glad to see yuri as a new (?) genre within manga and anime -- I'm even seeing some yuri 4-koma gag manga, not just the romance and drama stories!

EDIT: The omake of the author's comments in GF is hilarious! :D
