Well, it seems you never read One Piece so of course you don't understand why it is still popular. Of course there are people who got bored of it and dropped it but the vast majority still loves it, mainly because Oda manages to keep it entertaining. When you read One Piece there comes a point where you realize that Oda is building up something great and epic. One Piece is a story where the reader gets the impression that things constantly move and progress in the background even if the focus is on the main characters most of the time. It is expanding and growing constantly and this keeps it interesting to this very day. |

Can't say anything on that, as I haven't read the manga; I don't know if the manga covers the LN properly and how much was covered until now. I'm not sure that kind of story goes very well with the manga media. |
