| I think that's the end of this arc. I think a lot of us could see this when they first started telling her to find a "sister". |

| This arc so far is my second favorite since the twin's arc... now it ended. Good for them. Now we're back to Mr. Smith and Ali February is still a long way ahead, too bad. |

| She clearly loves her husband, but does she have feelings for Shirin as well? Or is it just a caring woman concerned about her best friend? I would hate if it was the former because then she manipulated her husband to keep the woman she likes close. |
| I enjoyed this arc more than I expected too. By the end it's evident what we've been looking at here is a lesbian marriage that's found a way to exist in a society that doesn't tolerate lesbianism. It's pretty interesting to see Anis manipulate local mores to get the optimal outcome for her, getting Sherine provided for and even in the same house. It's also interesting to consider that being penetrated by men and bearing children regardless of what they really wanted was a part of being a lesbian woman in the past in some societies where being a spinster was not an option. These kinds of internal conflicts are never brought to the fore in the manga, which is something I would have preferred to see, and though Mori's obvious shoujo flower framing makes the unspoken lesbianism self-evident, it's not like Heisei Japan is some country where lesbian acts can't be described or depicted in manga. |
