The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Naruto still at the top? Oh well, it can't be helped.

Gintama is really popular in Japan so it can't be helped :D At least Bakuman is 5th.

Wish I can read the light novels of Toaru Majutsu no Index -__-
This is a signature.

It CAN be helped, because Bakuman has only 5 volumes out and it's already getting close to the sells that Gintama is making and look at the amount of volumes Gintama has. 31.

:D

Bakuman will overtake Gintama and others in time. It has only been publishing for a little over a year, and just look at how popular it is and is becoming. More and more are being introduced to it and it really sells itself just cuz it's so freaking amazing. Bakuman will outdo Gintama sooner or later.

Gintama should continue to outsell Bakuman. That's my totally biased opinion and I'll forever stick to it. Glad to see it in the top. XD

While I do very much enjoy Bakuman, I will forever stick with Gintama, it is the superior manga...

but it is good to see both of them doing well...

I just wish Gintama was more popular in the US... its near impossible to get merchandise for it...

Bakuman has to be sure not to end first before we talk about it outselling Gintama. I doubt they are going to stretch this series far beyond Death Note's length.

Kuroko is selling way too much. We don't need another Bleach in WSJ...

Gintama is crazy popular in Japan and with the first movie coming out next year its popularity is sure to grow. Gintama will only truly be outdone by Bakuman when it ends.

hello,

I think it's the wrong manga ranking !

I've checked the oricon website and the ranking you've posted is counting the sales of the current week. So it's not the ranking of last week manga sales...

it's not the first time I notice it. You must know that on the first page, the ranking is updated every day. So it's not the same if you look at the website Monday or Wednesday.

I prefer Ginatama over Bakuman. They are both great but bakuman is a bit boring imo. Gintama is very unique and has more parody.
I'm very surprised Angel Heart got 2nd in sale. It's a total let-down from my most favorite manga City Hunter. I wish the mangaka could make Shin-hon more stronger.

Kishi = Uwe Boll.
