| wow his back story was a LOT more complicated then just "villain playing the hero until he gets corrupted and switches sides" He was forced to switch sides. He didn't even know Mendoza killed Anna... I feel really bad for that guy. Next episode look like its gonna be REALLY tough on Leon... |

| Man that was sad. I shed a few tears starting from when German's sword hit Bernardo and German proceeded to basically hug him and they both fall to the ground. I mean it's obvious that Bernardo was really important to German, but you can actually feel it in that moment. It was a well done scene. It's really sad that Bernardo began to think that humans aren't worth protecting (well not all), but in the situation he was in, I can see how one would lose hope in humanity. And of all people he had to meet at that time, he met Mendoza...ugh. I'm glad though that at least he was able to regain his old self back in his last moments. And poor German, it hurts a lot to have your best friend die in your arms. |
| Art/Animation: For the most part I have no complaints, had some cool visual effects, some awesome designs and some kickass fight choreography. All I will say is occasionally the CG made it a bit difficult to tell what was going on, only when the horses were involved though, that's it. Sound: Fantastic as usual. Story+Characters: Bernardo's flashback was great. I love the conflict between humans and makai knights, how humans are so ignorant that they attack makai knights but it's because of that ignorance that they must be protected. I'd probably feel the need to kill them as well in Bernardo's situation. Especially after seeing an innocent woman get shot in the head for no reason. The fight between Bernardo and German was great and while the ending seemed a bit rushed, I did get a tear in my eye when Bernardo died. Being a Makai knight kinda sucks... you have to protect people who want to kill you and view you as demons of sorts. It was the first time we saw German seem vulnerable too, crying over his lost friend and clearly crying over Anna as well. So Mendoza is summoning a giant Horror to... pretty much eradicate humanity? Okay then. I did find it odd how Leon and Alfonso were just standing there but maybe the barrier is not just over Mendoza but is also over the portal as well? Idunno, either way, seems like next week is gonna be good. |

| Interesting story about Bernardo. Also his battle with Roberto was great! Recording their lifes together in the past with Anna, was very awesome! |

| Episode marked by a short but very intense fighting. Not bad even the foundations for the next fight. Narration without flaws, bleak and brilliant at the same time. Plot that moves well, but some things need to be thorough. Drawings and excellent animations. | Once again, the fights are rushed and come to an end so quickly.. as of now, Leon and Alphonso are way too weak and immature to defeat that horror let alone Mendoza.. I sense the end of an arc in the next episode, unless something even more monumental happens.. o.O Also, 'Go get scolded by Anna. You big fool' :'( Sad.. |

| So Bernardo was just a naïve bastard who fell for Mendoza's swaying words, I thought his deflection was more than that. Battle between Bernardo and German was really epic. I actually felt remorse for Bernardo's death! |
