| Exciting, visually creative, really wild animation, vibrant colors, a striking balance of comedy and horror, and an ending with one huge question mark to close the episode out. The look on that girl's face when she saw the guy kill that cockroach was an amazing mix if fear, relief, shock and happiness. It really spoke more than any piece of dialogue could. Mahiro Maeda, affiliated with GONZO and did the animated sequence from Kill Bill Vol. 1, and Takeshi Honda, one of the original Gainax staff, headed this short, and it definitely shows towards the end around when the girl was running along the wall and when she grabbed onto the guy's face. It's been a while since I've watched one of these shorts, so this was a pleasant yet energetic one to come back to. |
| His girlfriend turned to a cockroach... now that's horrifying. I'd prefer that all cockroaches turn into cute scared little naked girls tho. Another new artstyle and well-used nudity~ I love how she travels around the room (in human form ofc). Good thing it was just a dream, a pretty weird one at that. Almost got moved by the roach propaganda but the boyfriend snapped me and the girl out of it xD |

| this reminded me so much of metamorphosis by franz kafka,, hahah but besides that; the art style and animation was so pretty! and the realism made the entire film so much more enjoyable. i'm absolutely terrified of bugs of all sorts, especially cockroaches, so this almost had me covering my eyes out of fear (lol) |

| Like some watchers have pointed out, this episode also reminded me of Kafka. It was interesting to see the animation of her hubby/bf trying to swat her. Very fast-paced and dynamic. |

| Oh! She's naked. Dat oppai. Dat pubic hair. He sees her as a roach. Wait. How'd she climb up there like that? Dat oppai. Dat leg split going across the blinds. WTF! That roach got wings. Now she can fly. WTF! Dude has my same reaction when seeing a flying roach. |

| This was great. The sense for size and space was especially fantastc. As someone with a major bug phobia I totally felt for the guy going after the cockroach. |

| Pretty good, they took Kafka's idea in a very rudimentary form and turned it into something different. The animation was the highlight here, all the different camera angles making it interesting, as it's not so simple in animation as opposed to live action. |
| ah so this is what happens when Japanese Animators find out about The Metamorphosis quite Kafkaesque I dare say quite Kafkaesque indeed it could have also been inspired by the movie Enemy (2013) really nice piece either way also hehehehe she had a bush =] |
