Koe no Katachi is a must read. Its also getting an anime adaptation which is pretty awesome that I can go through all the feels again. I'm also wondering why Shingeki no Kyojin is not here.

Happy for Tokyo Ghoul and All You Need is Kill. Although I think they deserve a higher place, but I'm still not reading the titles above those two. Maybe they're better, who knows... Well, both manga are already super awesome though. And yeah, where is SnK? The manga is on the same level with Tokyo Ghoul, IMO.

Wait, is that Koe no Katachi I see up there?

HELL YEAH!!! :D One of the most lovely manga I've ever seen. Although the seemingly "unresolved" ending, its ways of conveying the messages it brought is very beautiful. I love it! :D

Edit: Just realize that Nozaki-kun is up there at top 5 shoujo~ Aaaah.. very good, very good...
HOW TO SAVE ANIME IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

  1. To have Mars of Destruction, Skelter Heaven, and Pupa properly adapted in TV series form by Madhouse
  2. To have Inferno Cop properly adapted in TV series form by Bones, director: Urobuchi Gen
  3. An anime crossover of Mushishi x ARIA x Haibane Renmei.

Should even one of the above conditions cannot be done, anime is still at risk.

Koe no Katachi deserves that spot, I'm only halfway trough it, but still I can say it's a great manga.
I also think Tokyo Ghoul deserves to be in the top ten.

Isn't Tokyo Ghoul a seinen?

Hope this series gets more attention next year as well. Anime adaptation when?

I hope Tokyo Ghoul ranks a bit higher next year. Really glad to see Koe no Katachi up there though and can't wait for the anime to air in the future.

OP made a mistake I believe. First list is about male readers while the second one is about female ones.

I'm glad to see Watashi ga Motete Dousunda's popularity growing slowly but surely. That one NEEDS an anime. I hope it gets one after two more volumes or so!

There was a small glimmer of hope a few weeks ago but it turned out to be a drama instead.

Yes, this is correct and has been clarified. It seems like they changed it from last year, which I had completely missed.
Thank you for pointing that out!

So good to see Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun in the top 5 <3

Pretty nice that Orange is up there too, although it's a little suprising that it's in the Male Reader's category. Guess it's because it's serialized in a seinen magazine :I

Sadly, don't really know any of the the other titles though.

Glad about Koe no Katachi, All You Need Is Kill, and Gekkan - totally deserve to be on the list.

Happy about Giganto Makhia - the art is a fave.

Aside the titles lacking description and those I already know, interested in Hakobu no Chronicle.

I expected more from the Choice Lists, to be honest.

I'm not sure why but newer manga tend to be strong on kono manga ga sugoi ranking.
SnK got 1st in 2011 ranking which is published about 1 year after SnK started

I guess Junko's doing pretty well with her new shoujo manga. I'm surprised Haikyuu isn't on the female list though.

Maybe some scanlators get inspired, bunch of interesting titles with barely any info on there.

Whooo Boku Dake ga Inai Machi. It's quite the interesting manga because I so want the mystery to be solved. All the other ones in the male category that I'm familiar with I've been putting on hold. And hmm? I knew that orange switched magazines but I didn't know it was a seinen magazine...nice to see the males liking it.

I wanted to check out this manga you guys were talking about only to take one look at the picture and go, wait...is this by that one BL mangaka???

Hmm I'm not familiar with any of the female's top 20...I guess if I ever finish catching up to all my manga and/or if I'm every bored and want to try something new, I can refer to these two lists.

The list is judged by professionals in the manga industry, not fans. Hence, the large number of titles that are still obscure. Gives me plenty of new options to read though. If this were a fan ranking, I'd probably have read most of them already.

They rated Terra Formars No.1 two years back though... I'm not sure if the adaptation's the one making it look so bad. >.>

Happy to see Orange and Gekkan Shoujo on the list ^_^
Orange on the male list was quite surprising since it's shoujo, but still glad to see it ranked~

I didn't even know that a manga version of the list was existing ;O.
The list looks fairly interesting, all those titles I don't know about may be worth checking.
That's sure leagues above any fan-voted made manga list I've ever seen, so there was no doubt that it wasn't fan-voted, indeed.

But at that time it only had...like 15 chapters or less? That's way too early. Even now it doesn't even have 20 chapters yet. Getting a drama CD this early is a good sign. And ranking here is a good sign too. We just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that it gets an anime one day. It would be a blast to see HanaKana voicing a fujoshi.

The manga is shoujo but has tiny hints of BL and yuri too. Though its mostly a shoujo manga. Its more comedy than romance and it's sort of like a parody of shoujo and otome games.

All You Need Is Kill wasn't that great. In fact, I didn't like it, but eh. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. :-/
