| Jesus christ, that whole scene with Rider's rolling head was sick. Poor Raida. Shirou being a badass through the whole episode was great, though it did kinda worry me that they didn't show him dual wielding chair legs. But just like they did with the dream sequence, they're most likely saving his dual wielding put in actual combat for later. Also, they're really emphasizing Rin's tsundere act, aren't they. |

| Amazing ep leaving aside the serious lack of monologue ^^; Dat jelly Saber :3 Adorable <3 But yeah Archer's style fits Shirou more ^^ Even trying Dual wielding XD It's amazing how much he improved in one day just from copying. I actually liked how they showed him training his dual wielding at the dojo more than using it right away. The Rin waiting for Shirou scene was kawaii <3 Dat blushing face :3 Archer must be pissed having a Seal used on him to not hurt Shirou anymore XD Awesome action scenes as usual. Dat Shirou BAness!! The Saber summoning and ass kicking was epic. So nice seeing Shinji shitting his pants XD Dat First person view vs Rider! GODDAMMIT THOUGH!!! Why so brutal T^T Poor Rider D: Her neck!! The twisting looked so cringe inducing for a Rider fan T^T Rin being Mindf***ed by how chill Shirou is with all these "Bodies" and him mentioning being used to Corpses was nicely depicted :D |

| Hmm. The lack of inner monologues is starting to be a bit much. And the golems did look off. For now those are minor issues, and the rest of the episode was really good, so we'll see how it goes. That Rider's corpse though, shit. |

| Saber getting a bit jealous at Shirou using Archer's style.. :3 . He must be quite talented to get a hang of using that style already! Rin waiting outside the classroom for Shirou was cute! That black-haired guy described her situation almost perfectly. XD Shirou is still dense; asking Rin if she forgot her lunch money when she was trying to eat together with him. XD Saber summoning and her immediate charge was awesome! Those golems were taken care of under 10 seconds! Shinji being pathetic was hilarious, but I didn't want Rider to die.. That twisted neck though. >.< Great episode! No Archer this time. He's probably a bit upset that he can't attack Shirou anymore, not until his master's alliance is void. |

The characters who don't get much exposure in one route tend to get a whole lot more in at least one of the other ones, if not in both of them. This applies to the majority of the characters - both masters and servants - if you think about it. |

| Shirou's flashback in episode 4 (notice his facial expression): Notice that same facial expression in this episode, and notice how calm and serious his demeanor was in contrast to Rin's. There shouldn't be any doubt at this point that something is very wrong with Shirou and that the show recognizes it, what with the above scenes displaying his mental state and how naive and idealistic he'd been acting. Is he idealistic because he's simply a goody-goody naive shounen protagonist, or is it perhaps that he experienced such real shit in his life that it somehow influenced his though process? In any case, great episode once again! The introductory phase concluded with the previous episode and now the first casualty has occurred brutally, signaling the story's transition to the next phase. Anime-only viewers, I bid you  |
