I would search all worlds known and beyond unknown for the seven dragon balls to wish Yuuki and the Sleeping Knights another chance at life.

So does that mean that the common "PARTY CHAT" doesn't exist in this game?
A futuristic game and yet, no party chat? That is a crucial one in every team fights especially boss fight and yet. -_-

Hmm... its way faster to run and tell them in person than writing all that thing in a chat... you could also yell but welp.

Great episode, once again. Loved the fight scenes, and the animation quality is top notch as usual.
Somewhat sad that SAO'll end in just a couple of weeks. Really hoping for a good ending.

We all wanted a good, happy ending ; _ ;

Asuna's lost imouto confirmed?

Maybe Yuuki just had a sister that was also named Asuna and who died or something. But first thing would be cooler. The girls in the opening don't look like one of them is Asuna though, so it's probably not it.

Anyways, Mystery is shaping up.

What's with these spoilers? People write straight up spoilers without spoiler tags.

Though I have already been spoiled, and now it's kinda hard to watch... I guess this will be the first time when I will feel something in this show.

I feel like that this season 2 of SAO has been really slow, I don't know about the Light Novel, but I kinda hate how they always left a cliffhanger ever since the start of this season. In some episodes, I was like "hurry up!", and then they kept on doing what they're doing, and then when it finally gets serious/revealing something, the credits roll. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this season very much, it just felt kinda slow compared to the first.

Loved this arc! I kinda wanted to see kirito fight them all but i guess the boss was good enough :D
The ending is great because it's leaving great mysteries. Who IS Yuuki? We'll probably find out on the next episode :)

Well, since first season went from floor 1 to 40~ in just one episode, then ofc its slower.

Yea not sure I guess the trolls are out today. Luckily they are hints but anyone checking this thread is pretty much spoiled somewhat now.

So she was with her jump just short a crouched guy to step on? Really... really?!

The episode was really cool but bullsh*t solutions like that in SAO keep me from really liking it.

Pls keep in mind that Asuna said to him "the next time he attacks with his hammer" and if you look at it a bit more closely you can see that the boss has to bend down for attacking with his hammer, hence they waited for that attack.

Oboi, all these spoilers without spoiler tags. If you seriously want to talk about these things, there's a thread for that. Leave the episode discussions for speculations, not blatantly confirming what happens later without the use of spoiler tags.

Great episode this week! Would've liked to see Kirito's 1v30 but oh well. I'm guessing Yuuki's sister died and Asuna either looks like her or Yuuki is carrying on her sis's dying wish or something.

This is the second most boring arc so far. As much as I hate GGO arc, at least that was fill with drama.

There is absolutely no urgency in this arc. It is just a bunch of people taking a video game way too seriously. It's kind of sad, really.

why should there be an urgency?

Its not an action show.

And each of those people have perfect reasons to take "video game"(not video game, vr game) seriously(ex: to Asuna it is more real than shitty reality ).

They are not sitting in front of a pc. they are IN the game.

It's kind of sad when people complain about "urgency" or whatever in SAO when that isn't the main point in the series... lawl.

Watched without blinking until the boss battle began, then skipped in short steps to the end.

Hoping for more godlike battles for Kirito, and less boring bonding moments and moments when they "actually just play the game" ;)

YAY! They put in all the scenes I wanted to see~
I am NOT ready for the feels though... They just keep hinting at sad things.
I would have loved to see Kirito/Klein Vs that guild, but the boss battle was pretty great too.

Urgency... Well, no one's life is is in danger, but all these characters are running out of time to be friends. In real life, that's an urgent issue. I remember graduating high school. My friends and I had a couple good last hooras before separating. And there's also the asuna versus mom situation. Something of a comment on how the older generation doesn't understand online friendships although half of them are on eharmony smh. The whole theme of the show is that online and offline environments are the same (so no cyber bullying lol). I've been enjoying this arc, especially since badass asuna is back. Can't wait to learn what yuuki's deal is.

Uh bro, if you were in a place that realistic you would take it pretty seriously too. I mean just look at CoD players now.

Yeah well, for CoD it's more hysteria than immersion :P

But fact is: You will take a VR "game" way more serious than a normal game because the barrier between reality and game weakens immensely (this is btw, if you remember, just what Kirito said way back in episode 1).

Also the "anonymity" behind your avatar greatly reduces, because you can't hide your real emotions anymore unless you are really good in doing so in real life, too.

Last but not least with your really playing as your avatar the immersion skyrockets and at the same time the desire to be good in there does, too. Honestly if I could play SAO I would also try to become as good as possible in swordplay with my limited amount of playing time :P

And, since most of the characters play games to escape from their problems/reality, it's way more serious. Sinon took the game seriously because she wanted to overcome her trauma. Asuna wanted to be the best, just like she was told irl by her mother, Kirito couldn't trust people anymore, he thought he didn't belong anywhere and started playing games, Suguha wanted to recover the brother-sister relationship they had and so on.

People need to understand than, for some of us, games are more than games.

Wonder what's up with Yuuki.

Judging from those comments,it seems sad. Man..gotta get myself get ready by next week. Good arc so far.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Some insight as to what Kirito actually did from user J3N0V4 on reddit:

A quick note about the magic cutting that Kirito did just to make it even cooler.
In ALO all magic has hit boxes about the size of a bullet right in the middle of the particle effects. Now a lot of people in ALO could in theory cut them or deflect them without too much hassle however they all have magic typing meaning that they cannot be damaged by any non-elemental damage like a normal sword swing so most of the time even if you cut it your sword would not stop the magic.

Now Kirito of course realises this and what do we remember from the last arc, sword skills at a certain level add elemental damage which allows them to cut the magic however to do this you would have to use the correct sword skill to cut them at exactly the right moment as sword skills over ride manual control and make you do the skill exactly as it was written meaning that our friend Kirito had predicted the path the spells would take and selected the exact sword skill that would do enough elemental damage in the right places to destroy the spells.
