Garo S2?! Hell yeah!
Overshadowed by Bahamut, but still one of the best shows this season. More of these kind of news, please.

read this earlier on ANN and thought "woah so the Garo franchise actually is the hot shit in Japan". I did know that Super Sentai is pretty popular over there but 7 adaptations? that's ridiculous.

Looking forward to season 2 and the movie

How popular is Garo(overall and only the anime) in Japan?
I'd personally gladly see something else from MAPPA.

Don't get me wrong Garo is good and a second season will be awesome but isn't this a lot just for Garo?

Super Sentai belongs to the same genre as Garo ''Tokusatsu'' it in itself is not a genre.

Anyway nice to see some more Garo news, I was expecting a S2 for the anime since that story is far from over, now way that it would have gotten a satisfying ending with the storypace its having now.

And the manga bit was already known but man, 7 ? that's just amazing.
Hopefully this will pave the way for more toku shows, especially ones aimed at the somewhat older crowd.

Not really Garo is a franchise, the anime was just the latest addition to it.

This is WELL DESERVED.

Garo anime is brilliant.

Shingeki no Bahamut, Garo, FSN and Magic Kaito are pretty much the only shows worth it this season.

I think it will be 2-cour judging from the fact that 2nd opening and ending themes have been listed.

Yup, great news! I wish Bahamut would get extended too, 12 is too short for that awesome show too.

Too bad that Bahamut is too western and too non-moe to sell :[

Good news. I've seen bits of the live action as well but the anime has been enjoyable so far so I am definitely looking forward to both season 2 and the new movie.

I hope Shingeki no Bahamut gets a similar treatment soon.

Pretty good news, now I know that the story won't be ending this season which is good as the universe seems interesting. Wondering a little if the series would be complete by the end of season 2.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Quite lavish celebration of the 10th anniversary, I'll go with the anime continuation! *German!...*

As for Bahamut, one can make numerous (enticing) stories out of the card characters, I wish they'd think about it seriously and make more seasons (of the same quality).

It's how it's directed that makes the show for me. Not everything need be about sheer frame counts and flashiness. Sometimes it's nice to have a show that doesn't have to be all up in your grill at all times but rather has a distinct atmosphere, it's own style, and vibe to it that makes all the difference. Garo is one of those shows to me. The soundtrack is also pretty fantastic too which helps a lot.

LOL. This is pretty crazy.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

This GARO anime hasn't been as good as the live action shows, but I'll probably finish it eventually - especially with these announcements.

Its by MAPPA(Zankyou No Terror, Shingeki no Bahamut, which means crazy cgi and animation blending, crazy fights and huge budget)

And it has third best OP this season(Bahamut's being the first and fsn's second)

These news sure sound nice, anime-wise. Since I'll remain an anime-only viewer for now.

More Garo is always welcome, especially since its theme can be explored a lot further and still remain an enjoyable watch.
