Do not report recognition issues relating anime video file names. We now use the same recognition that Taiga has, thus I cannot fix these issues. However, you may post the scrobble output from the Console app under System Messages and filter it with "MAL Updater OS X." App crashing? Please paste the output from the application in the Console App of the crash log and also paste the system message output related to MAL Updater OS X. Also reproduce the steps and your OS X version. |

Seems that the port number might be initialized as a number instead of a string for the Kodi/Plex detection, which is why it's crashing since a CFNumber type does not have a length property. This is an easy fix and it will be fixed in the next version. For now, disable the Plex detection. I turned off autoscrobbling off last night and the app did not crash. I don't see anything unusual.. It might have to do with the weak references thingy probably... but I have to investigate... Also, it seems that trying to detect Musaigen no Phantom World - 01 causes MAL Updater OS X to crash, but there will be a fix soon when I have the time. |
| The detectstream causing MAL Updater OS X to crash in some instances has been fixed along with a crash caused by null total number of episodes. It will be released later today. |
| Update: I have moved the Unofficial MAL API to Buyshared since I don't need another 512 MB VPS to host it and the DigitalOcean credits expire in March. With that, I paid for cheaper hosting, but the uptime should not change as I have used hosting services from Frantech (who owns BuyVM and Buyshared) and they are relatively good. |
