I'm surprised the author manage to make 2 volumes worth of content in only 5 years !! |

| honestly two or three months is fine for me. Theres lots of manga on indefinite hiatus where noone even knows if they're ever gonna be completed (NANA, X, D.N.Angel...) so I'm happy if something comes out semi-regular. |

Looking at how much i missed i can't even bring myself starting (one of those two) nah lol, I'm just a newbie, I started berserk day before yesterday. And I'm watching one piece anime.... But Since I've caught up to berserk current chapters, I guess, most of the story is completed....Now all that is left is preparation for final showdown....So probably this fantasia arc and another arc to complete the manga.....so that would probably take 10-15 years or so seeing past trend. but sighting the age of author, maybe he might speed up things in less than 10 years |

| Read the golden age arc, and then stop, that ll be way more satisfying than waiting for it to end, which it never will, or reading the manga now and having to wait for the next chapters, which ll also never come. |

| Honestly, unless we count nostalgia factor and art quality - berserk is barely better than your typical shounen manga nowadays... I will certainly reread it just to read the actual early seinen berserk i it ever gets finished... and will probably be frustrated by how it turned into shonen manga with each subsequent chapter... The story just goes nowhere lately... I mean... I don't even expect much at this point, but at least it would make more sense if we weren't following some story route which feels like it's full of filler material. Even if author will live long - doubt he will be in much condition to provide the same quality over years... and with him unwilling to take this manga anywhere while still in his good condition... only feels like it won't have enough time to be good when/if it ever starts getting good again. |
| Frankly speaking Miura should have abandoned the series somewhere around 2011 and draw something he enjoys. It's still a big name, but I don't see this as a good situation for anyone. |

It's still a big name, but I don't see this as a good situation for anyone. When I read Giganto Maxia a year or two back, I noticed that Miura actually seemed to be having fun. He was able to let loose with his comedy and do his own AoT imitation. That's the thing with him: he's been drawing Berserk for most of his life, and his taste/artistic desires have changed and been influenced by other popular works since then. Plus he probably only planned up to the eclipse, originally, being as that's the only arc that elevated the series to 10/10 and lacked filler. Berserk having out of place comic relief and filler because Miura feels obligated to continue forever more, without passion, and needing a new hiatus after every few chapters means he will never finish. Unless MAL is gone by then, we'll still be discussing the same thing in another 10 years. The only way I can see Berserk 'ending' is if Miura runs out of time doing the whole existence thing. |
| Honestly at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Berserk didn’t finish, not going to lie. A pity. Hopefully we get a decent anime adaptation of it, especially after the eclipse. |
