I was thinking of watching some movies in un-ripped state, but I'm not sure if my PC can handle it...

processor: Pentium E6600 3.06GHz
video card: ATI Radeon HD 5450
RAM: 4GB RAM

I don't really follow how far computers have advanced, but I know my PC is rather outdated, although, for what I need, it performs without any problem - it can play any 1080p BD rips no matter how high bitrate is (at least that was the case so far), and it can run games on ePSXe emulator in 1080p/60fps, if that means anything...

But still, considering the full size of BD files, and that isn't rip, I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance.

Go rent a BD and test it out for yourself. While your system is rather low-end it might still work decently enough.

What you need is a 1920x1080 (Full HD) monitor and a Blu Ray optical drive.

I have 1080p monitor, so there's no problem.

As for Blu-ray optical drive, by saying Blu-ray files, I meant downloaded un-ripped movies, kinda like game ISO images.

It was obvious I didn't intend to use actual BDs...

Anyway, I can't say you guys were of much help, but thanks anyway, I guess.

I think your specs are good enough for playbacks without hardware acceleration.

First, you need a blu-ray driver.

I overclocked processor at about 3.6 GHz, and it plays them just as easy as any other video file.

make sure you have a blu-ray drive and a player on your computer that can actually read blu-ray disc.
Just because you know how to use a torrent does not give you the god given right to pirate.

If your trying to get a BD iso to play. you need to get something that can read it. This can be a virtual BD Drive.

If not get a player that can read Iso's. Yes your system should be able to handle it.

You actually thought he wanted to know for legitimate reasons? That's cute.

Why are you people still answering when I said everything is okay?

Not to mention I was pretty much clear that it is about BD isos, and physical discs...

Hey, I'm only naming the legal Option at first here, which doesn't even cost a lot of Money and can be easy accessible in local Stores. Nothing's wrong with that.
Besides, I've also assumed that by "un-ripped", physical copies were meant.

Because the Thread is still open and you have no Authority over what other Users can write or not?

Also, it hasn't been clear in the OP what Kind of Source you were trying to play. It could've even been a (legal) 1080P Stream.

And last but not least, my Response "try it out for yourself!" can be transferred to the ISO Files you've meant. If there had been a Reason for your Asking like you had a bad Internet Connection and/or Data Caps, you should have stated it. I might have searched for a Trailer and recommended it to you for your Tests, then.

edit: for Clarification, you could've edited the OP and/or the Title.
