| I've always put more emphasis on the question "Why would anyone want to 'stalk' me?" rather than "Can someone use this information to 'stalk' me?" I don't think that anyone has reasonable cause to care about me that much, so I'm fairly confident that my chances of being "stalked" are negligible. For that reason I don't mind revealing somewhat specific information about myself or my location. If I've known someone for a while, I wouldn't mind telling them more. Ever since we changed our normal ADSL2+ 16K monthly charge to a VDSL2/FTTC 50k subscription, my place has been exactly located right on the city despite having changing IPs every day as well. Before, it could've been some other random place in the same federal state/("Bundesland") I'm living. Well, I won't mention it directly in this thread, but anyone interested should have either stalked it easily out for themselves or asked me after at least getting a bit of friendly chatting done. Else, I simply don't see any point in shouting it from the rooftops. |
