| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Dang, that possession like scene looked nasty. Overall another solid episode with Leon taking responsibility and using his powers to quite a level. Next episode could be quite an eye catcher as well titled "Shadow Beast". I already got a bad feeling about that.. Great action this episode and I like they adapted blacksmith themes into this. |

| The black knights being all filled with horrors. A system to get potential candidates to kill each other and those alive to be possessed :/ The boy being able to move on and continue the shop. The person going to attack the Makai knight and alchemist seems really confident! The preview is confusing! |

| Another great episode. Nice fight, and a plot moved forward a little. Oh, and Kappei Yamaguchi must be the only voice actor, who voices little kids, while being almost 50 years old :D |

| I REALLY loved the design of that blacksmith horror. Poor kid though, finally gets a life and a family, then loses it just a few years later. At least he was able to move forward. |

| Excellent episode. A bit jumpy at times but nothing too bad. Art/Animation: LOVED the design of the horror this episode. They incorporated the mans job as a blacksmith into it and had the face look like a depressed ghost. The animation was pretty fluid as well. Well done overall. Music: Love the music in this show. Has that real dark fantasy atmosphere to it. The more lighthearted songs were used well too. Story+Characters: I liked how the whole episode had this theme of family and grief. Everything the father did was related to that and I loved the little touch of showing German and Leon fighting in front of him which made him angry that they are taking for granted what he lost. Ema came back as well, so nice to see her again. The entire episode's story progression was about finding out more about the black knights. The part that I really liked was that it showed the grief and despair that 1 soldier dying can cause and then at the end they show the circle of men all being possessed. Makes you wonder about the families they have. Very well done overall. I did think that a couple times the episode jumped around a bit out of no where but that's somewhat a nitpick. Mendoza seems to be quite the foe they will have to beat. |

| Ugh, so sorry for the blacksmith. He was a great person. It's terrible to outlive your own child. I can understand why he succumbed to the Horror, but, as dumb as it may be, his horror form looked the most human and least repulsive, compared to the others seen so far. On the other hand, German and Leon's bickering was sweet and so natural, that pangs the heart. So, the Mendoza guy is on a roll and the confrontation is imminent. | Great, finally some action from Herman, his armor design is really awesome. Good episode, but I'd like them to get to some actual main plot stuff rather than throw 1 episode scenarios at us. Perhaps the whole black knight thing will be a little better. |

| This sure is very well-made. I like the style - the city was shown beautifully, characters designs also grew on me. Even CGI doesn't irritate as much as it used to. The foes seem competent for a change. The story of the blacksmith was a good tragic tale. The only problem I have with the show is the episodic nature. I mean, we're at ep. 6 already, but the main plot has barely moved. I'd like to see more screentime dedicated to the main cast. Their world is interesting, but it's the usual dark fantasy stuff, and the main characters have an agenda of their own, and much more interesting one than monster of the week. I'd like to see father-son and mentor-pupil relationships shown a bit more in-depth, as well as to see the contrast between the world of teens and the adult world. I mean, Leon interacts with adults all the time, but he is still somewhat protected. That's why I'm a bit disappointed that the prince was accepted as Makai pupil right away. I hoped that he would have to force himself into the tutelage. But well, I guess, the original material is a coming of age story for teens. |
| I sort of thought the prince was going to be a secondary protagonist, but he's less than a background character with hardly any screen time? I don't like it. Other that that, enjoying the show quite immensely. |

| Six episodes in and so far this show has been a real treat. I really dig the setting and characters. |
| 5/5 Start the second phase of the anime, but it is not lost on the street. The plot goes well without a hitch, although the preamble of what concerns the story, takes up the whole story. The action is pleasant, thanks to the improved CG and good choreography of the fighting. Not bad the Character Design of Horrors, the soundtrack was fine this time and animations were good. The next episode looks very promising. |

| seems that next episode will continue from where this episode ended. also, now that Raphael is teaching Alphonso and passing down his skills to him, does it mean that Raphael will no longer be the Gaia and instead it will be Alphonso to helm it? it reminds me of Inuyasha regarding Zaruba about how the Golden Knight wont appear during new moon nights.. speaking of Inuyasha, Kappei Yamaguchi was the one to voice Julio in this episode |

Since the Black Knights are recruiting people only to turn them into Horrors, and the Blacksmith turned into a horror only because his son had to go through that torment, the blacksmith went on a revenge killing spree. Does that means Horrors can kill other horrors, depending on how the gates were opened? |
| Yay Ema appears again :) I wanna see her in action again but I was so glad she was in the episode! The horror was pretty awesome and I love how they incorporated the blacksmith skills to it as well. The ending was creepy all those soldiers getting possessed omg O_O should be interesting! |
