| This episode shows us the difference between humans and animals. Mitsuo beats up Nagai. Mitsuo beats up Shinichi. Mitsuo beats up Shinichi again. Kamijo and Nagai beat up Mituso and his crew. Kana is cute. I wish she gets more screentime. Hopefully, she'll play a big role. Oh shit, Shinichi's mom is dead. (T_T) HOLY SHIT! SHINICHI WAS STABBED! |

| of course with this episodes OP I had to notice the foreshadowing of Shinichi's mom as a parasyte in the ending of the OP, it still surprised me though especially that stab, holy shit. Wouldn't be surprised if Shinichi would turn into a completely different person by the end of this half, hell maybe even after he starts accepting what just happened. |

| I'm having a feels trip right now. Shinichi vs. the bullies. I love how he's determined to fight them although he knows he's not that strong. Kana, the new character, is suspicious of his nature. I love the bonding between him and Murano. Unfortunately, a parasite possesses the body of his mother and attacks his dad. When the fake mom arrives at the house, Shinichi don't want to doubt about his mother. I can't blame him for not believing Migi, because of course it's his mom. He is stabbed by his fake mom - RIGHT IN THE KOKORO. This episode is really intense. Speechless. |

| wow his parents die that early? didn't expect that. Also how will Shinichi survive after that stab? Did he become immortal thanks to Migi? and what's with that Kana? Seems like an interesting character. I just hope she isn't an enemy. |

| Great episode, was overall a pretty intense one. Would have loved to see Shinichi fight back without looking like a pussy for once but hey, that's just my opinion :D |

| Oh wow, what an intense ending. He was in denial for way too long, but I can understand it. This will definitely lead to the change in his character that we see at the end of the OP. | I was actually kind of glad he got stabbed in the end. He deserved it for being so damn stupid. How could he NOT tell his mother was infected?! It was too obvious. |

| Holy sh*t this episode ;-; It all started so well, with Shinichi being heroic and meeting with new characters and all, then it had to end like this. I can't even imagine the pain of losing your own mother. Poor precious Shinichi :'c But I guess I saw it coming since the mom's speech about a past memory usually means someone's gonna die, horribly. At first I thought the parasyte's gonna take over that new psychic-something girl. And now I realized why people said in the Youtube comments that the opening spoils the mommy's fate. I was so dense I didn't even notice it, but of course I had to read the yt comments :S And I can understand why Shinichi hesitated killing the parasyte, it was her mother after all. Even in real life, when you first realize you lost a loved one, you just stand there in shock then you feel like destroying the whole world. And damn, Shinichi literally got stabbed in the heart :C So, I guess my prediction was wrong and Tamiya will not become a friend. Right now I really like that new black haired girl, but knowing my luck she'll turn into the biggest enemy ever :D |
| This episode felt so long and I enjoyed all of it. [spoiler] The gang fight, the girl who somewhat had an iffy feeling about Shinichi.. I had a feeling Shinichi's parents were going to die or get infected. But damn Shinichi refused to believe that his mom was pretty much no more and got stabbed right in the heart. I wonder how he stays alive.[spoiler] |

| Amazing how no one seems to have commented on the PIS (Plot-Induced Stupidity) of him getting stabbed. We all saw Migi's fight with Mr. A; he's capable of bending his alien body in absurd ways, absurdly fast. And now you're telling me he let the MC be stabbed in the heart because an effing KNIFE was in his way? PLOT-INDUCED FREAKING STUPIDITY is what ruins this episode, not the dubstep! |

| No, why did his mother and father had to be killed :/ while they're supporting characters they were still a very good addition to the story and it's quite sad to be honest :/ Either way pretty interesting development I do wonder what will happen next and especially with that kind of ending! |

| Even if I read the manga and knew this was coming, they did a great job with the ending of this episode, some of the music near the end was not really that fitting for the moment imo but other than that, definitely a memorable moment for the series. |

| What an ending. It took me until this episode to notice that in the opening his mother is not human. I wonder if it was always that way or not. I don't really like the electronic elements of the OST but it's good overall. |
