don't worry. Most of that is june so far angry at loli fanservice and that plot is being developed instead of fighting being stuffed down our throats. I'd wait for few more days to see real reactions. That's what I do usually anyway.

I guess she shows up for food and stuff but she doesn't play a big role in the story if I remember correctly.

She's pretty important to Shirou's characterization and whatnot, but regardless, this isn't the place to talk about that, so let's leave this for now, I guess.
And I mean that in the most sexually painful way possible.

Spoiler that shit.

Well, she is already spoiling much herself.
I didn't expect her to clearly state that she knows Kiritsugu and wanted him to suffer.

She states it VERY early on in Fate route.
There's no fate adaptation
They have to state it VERY early on in UBW then.

OH YES ILLYA IN THE BATH!

Anyway, Berserker seems to be way too OP. It seems like no one will be able to stand up against him.

Mod Edit: No spoilers

More like all of the shortcomings of the VN not being averted.

Pretty much 90% of new content is either because there's no Fate adaptation or Nasu decided to spice things up a bit.

VN had no shortcomings, except being too short and not having varied clothes for characters during winter. i wanted more routes.

They fixed clothes thing.

...... Illya plays a monumental role in Heaven's Feel. People seem to forget that Illya gets tons and tons of development in HF. Probably just as much as Rin and Sakura.

Hm, from this perspective, it actually makes sense.
But still, too blunt a revelation, for my taste.

Really not sure why they felt they needed to put a bath scene with an 8 year old... but whatever I just skipped it once I realized what was up.

Since when does nudity have to be absolutely necessary to be included in a mature show? This is not like those pantsu shots in ecchi anime, which are just there for fan service. You don't have to justify that kind of scene in a series like this - it's just a scene like any other. F/SN is darker than a lot of people like to admit and the people is expected to handle that sort of thing without a problem.

It can't be helped that a lot of people don't actually know F/SN is (arguably) darker than F/Z, considering HF has never been adapted, and Deen's adaptation made it come off as a silly harem with fantasy elements.
And I mean that in the most sexually painful way possible.

Yeah man, I'd say most important questions - if not all - are answered at one point in F/SN. But since this is a 2 cour series, some of them may not be answered that quickly.

Heh, people are still baiting priests hah.

Overall nice episode, but it really feels like a let down after last week's episode. I mean last episode didn't give a moment to rest, it was so action packed and this one seemed too calm, too 'slice of life', but knowing the VN, it was ok.

Looks like Illya will
I am also digging the new outfits. Always good to see some clothing variation in an anime (where mostly everyone have one or two outfits for the whole run).
Missing the times of Rewrite, good times.

'laughing at people saying "unnecessary stuff worst episode ever".
If those people want fights in every episode, then they should drop this anime NOW.
UBW is all about character development. And, as someone said before, F/SN is not F/SN without cooking. haha

I really like the Mitsuzuri scene and the Kuzuki scene.

I also like a lot the bath scene, it reminded me a lot about Fate/Kaleid, I even thought for a second it was Kuro. However I think that scene does not fit UBW well, this scene should have been in the HF movie since Illyasviel has a much more important role in HF.

THANK YOU, god anime watchers now a days, they think every scene is there for fan service, Fate does not need fan service, they have rin, she alone sells more than this shit(not to say if there is Rin fan service, even would buy it XD)

I love how everyone that likes saber is like: I Love how she stares at X people at X scene, i love how she stand still at X scene, LIKE SHE DID NOTHING AT ALL IN THOSE MOMENTS LOL i though i was a Rin fanboy but this, jesus

No, we aren't even supposed to TALK about it, may it be under spoiler tags or not. Take it to the General Discussion thread or don't answer. Or just report any VN/FZ spoilers.

But the way some express their opinion is kinda bait like. Considering that 80% of people here are priests so....

Its necesary to set up future events and have some characterization, if you do not the show will end up being garbage.

I'm quite sure June knows this. What June wants to say is that it isn't done well in both the novel and now in the adaptation, in his opinion.

Edit: Oh well, 6 seconds too late.

Those expecting an "action show" might as well drop this.

By comparison, 9% of Fate/Zero by runtime is action. UBW so far, excluding the prologue, is 8.7% action by runtime.

If we include the prologue, it drops to 8%

So, as of this episode, it's not really much less of an action series than F/Z.

The problem being that without argumentation that opinion is no more than bait no different from "WTF nothing happened where's mah fightinghhhhh" comments.

I generally feel that if someone uses the words 'sucks' 'shit' 'terrible' and and so on to express something, they are not expressing their opposing view like a mature adult and just want to make themselves heard. Therefore bait. Not everyone is like that in this thread, but we know who they are.

Literally went from being worried how as to how Ufo were going to portray Shirou, to absolute faith in one episode.

-Golem's were a bit choppy but there shouldn't be too many more of them.
-OST was very nice, I reminisced knk for Rin's golem fight BGM.
-Quick rule introduction was quick, Felt a little convenient but there is literally no other way to do this.
-Shirou still a legend, now with Jackets.

I'd give it a 6/10 without cooking no doubt, people just want to take this shows soul away :(

Especialy after playing FHA

The priest side of me is annoyed at all the Rustled Jimmies

So you have no problem with the focus on characterization in this episode, but it's the execution that's bothering you, correct?

That's fine and welcomed since that leads into discussion but what I'm seeing is that the responses to others, animeonlys criticisms for the most part haven't been anything more than "this is bait" or saying something regarding the VN. Some responses by VN readers for questions like "why didn't Archer kill Illya last ep?" I can understand but when someone is criticizing the quality of the direction or writing for actual superfluous scenes in the VN or how information is being conveyed to the viewer they just don't get a chance.

Yes, this episode further pushes the relationship between both Shirou and Saber and we get a nice introduction with Kuzuki. The things that bother me in the VN though is that for one I mean the cooking scene or Taiga & Sakura moving in, what does that do for the plot other than giving us more comedy scenes for the purpose of dragging the route out? They do nothing for the themes of the narrative, it would have been better had they instead here expanded on the archery scene where we learn quite a bit about Shirou's thematic role in the story. The PTSD scene felt clumsily handled too (this was the director's mistake) as the static and quick flashback came off as too strong.
