Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji Episode 3 Discussion

Ahh baby Kyouya was so adorable. Sad memory though, poor kid. Although Kyouya may seem like he's annoyed at Erika most of the time/maybe finds her amusing due to the relationship they're in, but I'm sure he unconsciously enjoys the time he spends with her because he doesn't have to put up his facade. I remember when this happened, I thought that what Kyouya said might be really hurtful to Erika, telling her that she doesn't really love him, and only she thinks she does because she's never been in a relationship. Why would anyone want to hear that when they just confessed?

Dude treats her like shit > falls in love with him. She's either a masochist or an idiot. And looking at this whole situation she got herself into, I'm going to go with idiot.
She's obviously both.
Well you know, love is illogical just like stupidity.
Die Liebe ist immer eine Art Wahnsinn, mehr oder minder schön.
-- Heinrich Heine (1797-1856)
Cuando amor no es locura, no es amor.
-- Pedro Calderón de la Barca (1600-1681)
English translation: When love is not madness, it's not love.

Ayumi, Erika's close friend, called her "Wolf girl" because she was (a) crying wolf. It makes sense... But, why Kyoya revealed his true self to such a stupid liar? He has kept it secret and only few knows it. In my opinion, that was because he was a liar, too, and that a smarter kind of canine --- a cynic.

Nice of Erika to look after Kyouya. Her love for him just keeps growing. The Kyouya flashback with the snowmen though, aw. And of course he had a girl with him when she visited again. Also what the hell is an apple-pear? Apples and pears sure but and apple-pear? Wha? Nice to also see Aki and Marin in swimsuits.

When I found they skipped the summer vacation story, I had a feeling that I saw somewhat similar flow earlier. Now I remember. It's Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.
Maybe a brassy producer or something came up to the director and said, "I have a good idea about the next episode. It's summer now, then how about..."

Also what the hell is an apple-pear?
"Asian pear" is a more commonly used name in English, I suppose.
It looks like a brown apple but it tastes more like a sweet and juicy pear.
Speaking of the scene when Erika brought the pears to Kyoya, they didn't have the figure you could expect from normal pairs. So, I feel very sorry to say this but, you had no chance to begin with to see them making pair-shaped this time. I don't think things go pear-shaped in future, either.
Anyway, tastes differ. I love the pear. It's soft, sweet, juicy and partly very sour.

Loved this episode! Poor Erika.
When is the next episode?
The show is aired on 10:00 PM every Sunday (Japan standard time).
Sunday 10:00 PM (JST) = Sunday 1:00 PM (UCT/GMT) = Sunday 6:00 AM (PDT)
By the way, you can see the preview of episode 4 (in Japanese).
A sloppy translation:
Erika doesn't give up and Kyoya is reluctant to answer. He understands her feelings to some extent now but doesn't show if he would accept or refuse, or rather he doesn't clarify it on purpose so as to tease her.

I am also anxiously counting down the days and hours until Episode 4 airs on
Sunday morning, North America time.
For those of you who can't stand the wait, perhaps you will be interested in their
90-second weekly radio shows. Apparently, people write in with their personal
problems and they receive advice from the two main characters. There are no
subs. Here are the two that have aired so far.

@htsuji: Thank you very much for translating the mini-synopsis for Episode 4.
However, I am extremely upset to see that . . .
. . . apparently they are still not covering Chapter 3 in the manga!

I think the animation in this episode really was really weirdly done? The dialogue and pace is fine, but the animation just can't make me feel serious about this episode. A side note, Erika's dialogues in this episode reminded me of the girls in gal games. It's kinda amusing now that I'm thinking about it.
They skipped on a chapter but I don't think that it was really important.

Five still images from Episode 4 have been posted here:
They also give a mini-synopsis of Episode 4 in Japanese:
I won't translate the whole mini-synopsis, since my Japanese is poor, but the
one thing that makes me very excited is that . . .
. . . we are going to meet a brand-new character. His name is Takeru Hibiya
(日比谷 健). He was Sata's friend back when they were in middle school. You
can see him here:
On that character design page, it says that he is now attending an all-boys
high school. He has a distinctive "half-up" (ハーフアップ) hairstyle. The voice
performer is Yoshimasa Hosoya. He has done tons of stuff. See here:

Why she is so naive... Seriously. How she can fall in him that easily even if he's an asshole? She is a masochist, definitely! I hope he will change his attitude for her a bit. He should pity her a bit. But it's understandable that he doesn't trust women, because his parents have divorced.
