"What is the meaning of life?"
This rather stupid question has been asked far too many times. That it is seen as a mystery or something which needs explanation is beyond me. All we need to do to know the meaning of life is to open a dictionary. There it will be. Imperfect, as all dictionary definitions, but you know what it means, You use the word. It's for a certain set of organic systema which uphold homeostasis.

Perhaps you mean, "What is the purpose of life", as with "What meaning did the act of eating that cheese have?" or the like. But this is a category error. Purpose is for acts which are teleological; life is not an act, it is a state, and it is not teleological.

It is a false question which deserves no thought.

Might be relevant.

Actually it is.

wat.

Look, you're taking this way too seriously. I don't think there are any further points to be made. This is what our last 10 posts in this thread amount to:

You called out Baman for the semantic issue of saying that life is the same thing as existence. Then, when I called you on the exact same issue, saying Baman's interpretation was perfectly valid, you retreated to "That's just how I define it. It's a semantic issue."

Which is... yes, I know. I'm fine with that. But if you knew that, why did you take issue with Baman's post in the first place?

You can't argue that someone else's definition of a word is wrong, and then go and say "Well, it's just a semantic issue, that's just my definition." It doesn't make sense!

Fine but then why did you quote...

You know, I've lost sight of why I cared in the first place. Have a baby seal.

d'awwwwwww. He's cute but he probably doesn't have a reason for existing I mean living. Gawd. We could learn much from our semi-aquatic friend.

If you still have a point to make, give it another go. As far as I can tell, your question has been answered in reference to my take on the differences in the connotations of the two words.

That seal looks delicious. :D

So basically this all originates from me placing my definition of a word upon someone else's take on it. Guilty. It was an error on my part to do so. Sorry for the double-standards. I blame you for instigating. >.>

Eat sleep shit fuck. That last is optional though.

You eat and sleep and shit to survive. Try not doing one of the three :)

You fuck so that all that eating and sleeping and shitting wasn't a total waste of good oxygen.

Because the goal of life is to continue on. And I can assure you, it requires a member of the opposite sex to do it correctly. Just the way it works, sorry to those of our homosexual membership.

I had a son, I have thus accomplished my primary mission.
Or in gamer speak, I finished the game of life back in 95 :)
Currently I have a 15th level male human.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
At least I can go see her in concert.

As in family tree/human development/production of more humans, then yes. In relation to the topic, however, it's a no-no. Enough Gay-Bi-Lesbian couples can live on perfectly with their current partner.

Agreed. Plus, I know someone will come after me once I've died and hacksaw'd my body inside my coffin. Even though I'd be dead, the thought of that creeps me out.

Also, I'm looking for a friend of mine. We have a plan to do something pretty awesome, and I'm really excited for it :D

Haha, I've actually been thinking about this myself...

Right now, it's between to get to the next episode in that anime or to make it to an anime convention.

...Yeah. That's pretty much all I have to live for anymore. I can't remember half of my goals or dreams. All I remember was my dream when I was younger to travel. But I highly doubt that that will happen. So, when in doubt, crush your dreams before someone can do it for you. It's a lot less painful if you wake up to it naturally instead of being shaken awake.

Sorry, I was bitten by the angst fairy tonight... xD

Nothing in particular.

I have very positive attitude towards life though, i try to (and certainly do) find the best out of everything and try to enjoy it. What we are is about as good as it's going to get, so why not try to take the best of it and enjoy. So i guess that's my reason if anything... life itself.

I don't like to think things too complicated, i don't really give rat's ass about why we live or what for. The fact that i'm here is all i need to know.

A friend of mine asked this recentely.
I replied: "Well, a friend's giving a party this weekend... Oh, and there's a movie coming out in March I guess will be quite epic. And I really can't be dying before even turning eighteen, can I? Mmm... Oh wait yeah, got some friends and a decent family too... almost forgot about it."

Meh. xD

Not saying the homosexual community can't live out fulfilling lives.
Just saying that procreation is required in order for our race to continue.
