Mushishi is a snore fest series, only people that are drunk would think it could be Aots. Boring people.

Or just people who can thrive on a diet that contains marginally less sugar and artificial additives.

Also, your argument contains a contradictio in terminis: drunk people can be anything, but rarely boring.

Here's 'another ranking from Japan. Again,Bahamut is not in the list.

With Terra Formars at six, I can't even take that list serious to begin with. I guess with anime being more mainstream in Japan (wow Laionidas, really?), you also get the issues associated with everything mainstream.

For example if one would conduct a similar inquiry as to what was at some point in time the most popular show on mainstream US media, you'd probably end up with Jersey Shore,..
that list clearly is really off too cause terraformers is projected to bomb super hard

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Parasyte, Genesis and Shigatsu are tied for AOTS.

This is what I felt are the best anime this year (i obviously have not watched them all so this is just based on the ones i have watched/ am watching):

Spring: Ping pong, Mushishi Zoku Shou

Summer: Aldnoah Zero, Zankyou no Terror

Fall: F/SN:UBW, Parasyte, SnB:Genesis

Winter (2014-15): Don't know but hyped for Durarara S2

AOTY (for me): Mushishi Zoku Shou

This year is an amazing year for anime. So many great shows. Again this is just my option and it may be different for other anime viewers.

This season is actually really good.

1. Fate/Stay Night
2. Shingeki no bahamut/Parasyte
3. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
4. Nanatsu no Taizai

And whats better, they are all 2 cour except Bahamut.

Top 5 should be possible if it doesn't have a shitty ending. AOTS is reserved for Mushishi though and I don't ever see Bahamut being close to how interesting and enjoyable Parasyte is. When it comes to #3 it'll need to fight with some of my bias shows like Nanatsu no Taizai and Shirobako, but that's just me and I can accept arguments that say Bahamut is better than those two, but I do think it is one whole tier below Parasyte and Mushishi. It's just not ambitious enough to compete with shows that are equally well executed but have much more unique storylines or concepts/themes. The plot in Bahamut is just not that interesting imo.
Garo might also overtake it if the second part gets really awesome. It certainly has more time to flesh out characters and setting and seems more ambitious as a franchise in general so maybe I'll end up preferring it over Bahamut once both have finished.

In any case Bahamut was a very pleasant surprise, before the season aired I expected it to rank somewhere at #20 of the season or worse. I don't need to call it AOTS to give credit to all the stuff Bahamut does well. It's a very good show.

Aesthetic value can be recognized or experienced, but it cannot be conveyed to those who are incapable of grasping its sensations and perceptions. To quarrel on its behalf is always a blunder.

It can be provided if the ending is not rushed.. To me, 13 episodes may or may not be insufficient to cover all aspects that has been happening in this anime. Let us see how everything goes

Not my favorite but definitely in my top 5, the 5th one to be exact. It just needed a little more characterization and a little less grand but more contained & detailed story to make it higher for me :P I got Parasite,UBW,Cross Ange & Akatsuki no Yona slightly ahead of it although since all those still have a long way to go, a comparison isn't entirely fair. Some places might switch when all of them end.

It's the anime of the season for me. This season has been alright. Although nothing can beat (Summer?) with Barakamon, Gekkan Shoujo, etc.

Unfortunately no, it was a fine show though. Mushishi is cheating so let's count it out but Parasyte is still aots and there's a lot to come for it too.

If they found a more interesting way to defeat Bahamut, the ending may have been more memorable. To be honest, SNB's plot (stop the world from being destroyed/etc) is already too common in fantasy work, let alone fantasy anime. That's not a bad thing, but it's harder to gain distinction using such a common approach.

We get told that Bahamut is evil/dangerous/unstoppable, yet it gets beaten in a single episode almost immediately after being revived.

The character cast was great, but in the end I think the show could have benefited from a more versatile overarching plotline. I preferred the earlier episodes that were more focused on adventuring - things started losing steam after the characters were stuck in the royal capital.

This is my anime of the year. This show is further support for my long-standing belief that execution is more important to a series than concept (another notable support for this being Sword of the Stranger). A few flaws, admittedly, but they were more than made up for by how good everything else was. I loved the ending, especially with how it bookended the series (note the first episode and the final scene from this last episode). My top anime of this year are probably this, F/SN: UBW, Zankyou no Terror, Psycho-Pass New Edit, and Parasyte.

Fate/Stay UBW along with Parasyte....
There’s no hope on the battlefield.
It has nothing but unspeakable despair.
Just a crime we call victory, paid for by the pain of the defeated.
Yet humanity has never recognized this truth.
And the reason for that is, in every era,
a dazzling hero has blinded people with their legends and prevented them from seeing the evil of bloodshed.
The true nature of humanity has not advanced a step beyond the Stone Age!

Unlikely. Unless Parasyte screws up in the second half after the glorious event happened in the last episode, it could be.

Lol Bahamut shits on AGK. But still easy Fate and Mushi-shi where the best last period of 2014. Bahamut the biggest surprise cuz how long has it been that a game adaption was nice enjoyable. Seriously i think if the makers would be really serious about this anime, it could be a really great anime work.

It would have been for me if it aired during the summer for sure. Unfortunately, it had to compete for the spotlight with shows like Kiseijuu and UBW. Still, the show ended up being a lot better than it has any right to be and it should be commended for that.
