Not necessarily change my life, but will stick with me for a long time after I read them. Looking for some manga to read that is preferably completed. Some of the stuff I have read lately that I enjoyed:

20th Century Boys
Parasyte
Holyland
Gantz
Bakuman
Berserk
Inu Yashiki
One Punch Man
I Am a Hero.

Things like 20th Century Boys, Holyland and Parasyte all have themes that stick with me after I read them.

Looking for stuff with action, but not overboard like some battle shonen. It can be serious, but I would prefer something that is mostly serious with a little comedy.

Give Claymore a try it has good action and nice animation and it's pretty fast paced. It has just ended so you won't have to wonder what happens after.

I tried reading that but there was like no action at all up to where I got to.

Just started reading 'Pluto' by the same author though. Pretty good so far.

I've watched the anime, which I enjoyed. I like to either watch or read something.

Gonna check out Eden after I'm done with Pluto. I read Akira about 10 years ago, Might have to give it another read I'm sure my adult brain will appreciate it alot more.

Black Cat

Tarou and Sachiko know each other for a long time. But they aren't childhood friends. They're childhood rivals/enemies. They compete and fight all the time and get in trouble because of that. Can they ever get along? Available as Light Novel and manga.

Listen, everybody wants change, don't nobody want to change though
don't nobody want to pray, till they got something to pray for
now everybody's gonna die, but don't everybody live though

"If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine"

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one
For the Union makes us strong

Since you haven't seen the anime yet(which if you had, reading the manga will only make you want to watch the anime) read Kingdom

Then there's Inuysha as well

Both are ofcourse the types of series, where the anime would be better to watch, but if you haven't seen the anime yet, it can't hurt to read the manga I suppose.

Even more reason to read Soul Eater. The anime is original after episode 32, I believe.
