In your opinion what are the best quality headphones you've used.
Now personally I've never gone above $30 for a pair of headphones though I always make sure to try and find the best I can for the price. What about you?

When it comes to price/quality ratio there are a few big names that always come up.

Koss Portapros
Alessandro MS1
ATH AD-700

This is of course if you want to stay below the 100 dollar mark. I'm sure there are quite a few other headphones that are relativity cheap and have great sound. But those three are the only ones I have owned and had for an extended amount of time.

Around $30 you can get yourself a philips SHP2700.Pretty decent for the price and the bass is one of the best so far in this price range.

More then that I will refer to seraphjei recommendations since those are very good headphones for value.

They aren't horrendous, but if you take into consideration the price;quality ratio, you can do much better.

But I can't stress this point enough: No matter what kind of headphones you have, you have to remember to ENJOY your music. If that means rocking out to your Skullcandy headphones, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's your music, and YOUR ears that matter. If you love music on Skullcandys, who is to tell you any different?

Sony MDR-XD200 isn't too shabby. It's below or at the $30 mark, depends on the store of course. I used them for 2-3 years in my teenage days of poorness. I can't compare them to other cans mentioned here, but they are well regarded in the low-budget area. I took the time to do some listening as I'm writing this. It works pretty well with rock, pop and jazz, it can even do a little classics as long as it doesn't get too complicated (e.g. single piano). What it doesn't work with is anything that resembles any sort of electronic genres, even just by the tiniest bit - it simply can't make out the details.

Personally I'd try to get a good deal on whatever pair of Grados I could find, or simply go for the Koss Portapro.

Out of principle, I would never touch any set of Skullcandy. You pay for streetwear.
