Yung Gud is really gud (get it lel) and deserves much more recognition but tbh I don't think anyone fits his music better than Lean.

Only rapper I can think of is the old A$AP Rocky with the trillwave stuff from LiveLoveA$ap. That is one of the best mixtapes of the past few years btw.

Pretty much. It's the production which makes Young Lean sound so good.

Yung Gud's production is similar to clams casino production where he was producing for Lil B and A$AP rocky a few years ago.

I love his rhyme pattern which is basically everytime the same but that's good since I can't get enough from it.
The party tracks are not what defines him, more his tracks with beats like "Purple Swag" or "Peso" and the whole Chop n Screwed harlem thing.

Maybe I'm taking this out of context, but "Chopped n Screwed harlem thing"?
Umm..you do know it started down here in Houston, right? DJ Screw originated it. Which is why it's called " Chopped and Screwed". Only his music is "screwed" cause it was remixed by DJ Screw. Any other similar styles by other DJs, it's called "Chopped and Slowed" or variations of that.

But yeah, I agree with you about Asap. I like his Long.Live.Asap style.

Asap rocky is the kind of dude you wish was one of your homies to take out to the bar and just kick it with and maybe bump a few freestyles. His music however isnt that great. Same with asap ferg and his crew. Am i the only one who feels this way

Rocky is meh now but as I said his trillwave shit from 2010-11 was good because it was something that was kinda new at the time. It's a bit like when Flockaveli got released in 2010 and a lot of people came in touch with Trap-ish production for the first time.

Multiply had that trillwave feel a little bit, happy about that.

that sort of rapper will never happen i dont think mainstrem music does not like flow or good mC skills or by the look of it meaningful lyics

yes there are good hip hop artist today but as i said there is no 3/3 rappers /Emcee going today

Ok man, we get it. New hip hop sucks. Old hip hop was the best. Storytelling, flow, and lyrics are the three tenets of hip hop, and nothing else is relevant.

Most people don't even know these guys...well, these days anyway. In my eyes, they are pretty much a part of the very few rappers still putting out real hip hop.

I have been jamming this lately, Joey and Crook.

cuase its the same for all muisc these day what pases for high selling rock for exmaple Nickleback compare to the the 70's and 80's were you had eople like malmsteen selling big numbers in Japan alone one Malmsteen record when 5 time platinum thats 5x 750,000

real true skill and craft in muisc id dead tastes change it was grunge that hurt rock the most

ie taking alot of the true artrest out rock Hip Hop became the same around 2005 if you rememer bakc in the day rapper would love too brag about there skills not there cars there money and there whores [ the in main strem ]

Jesus Christ man, you're like a broken record. New music sucks. Music was the best back in the day, where the artists had true skill (whatever the fuck that means). That's pretty much all you say, every time you post here. The funniest part is, you don't even really listen to the new music you talk so much shit about.

Oh wow, you own one album of an artist who is not really representative of new hip hop. It's hilarious how you mentioned before that you had no idea who Kendrick was and that the only Lupe song you've ever heard was Bitch Bad.

You're proving my point every time you make a post. All you talk about is how new hip hop sucks, old/underground hip hop is the only hip hop worth listening to, blah blah blah. You keep on name dropping all these old/underground rappers like that's supposed to impress us or give you cred or some shit.

Not once did I say I only like modern mainstream rappers. I like old/underground rappers as well, except the difference between you and me is that I don't generalize and dismiss one group in favor of the other. And the names of all the modern rappers you mentioned are all underground, hence you being a hipster. You can't deny that you hate on pretty much all modern mainstream rappers because of some arbitrary criteria you created to judge what is good hip hop and bad.
