I notice theres no romance tag on this but it starts out like a typical shoujo romance. Anyone know if its purely comedy or is it actually a romance as well?

It was okay. My main concern at this point is I'm not sure I can see how they'll get a whole seasons worth of content out of the premise without running it into the ground (it was already getting a bit stale at the end of this episode) or pull a boring "they actually realised they had feelings for each other" twist which, given the premise, would be a bit jarring.

Erika's voice actress does no suit her very well at all. But overall I did enjoy the first episode. Love the OP!

Eh...I kind of hate all of the characters, which is kind of a big problem for me with anime like this. I'll probably continue it if I'm not really watching much else, but I didn't like the first episode all that much. Maybe it'll get better, idk.

I cannot say I hate them but there is not a single character that I like there and that was the reason why long time ago I dropped the manga. I'm giving a chance to the animated version but seriously I cannot compare this to Maid-Sama or Ao Haru Ride because in both the male leads dont treat the heroine like crap. He is not even treating her like a dog...Im sure he would treat the dog much better.
I know they will pull off the shoujo stereotype "couple forcefully drawn together slowly fall in love and the guy turns out to be a really sweet guy"... and oddly that is the sole reason that is making me stay for now....even though I hate clichés its rare to see a shoujo animated so I cannot complain.
The best in the episode was the dog in the park and Kyoya's deep quote about dogs;P

The humor was really great, I like shoujo series like this. Definitely a keeper, and I'm glad to see Kanae Itou in a series again. Feel like she hasn't been in anything in a while

I wasn't really liking the beginning with Erika that much. Then came in Kyouya and Takahiro Sakurai's amazing voice. That was enough to keep me watching :3

Sakurai Takahiro is perfect as Kyouya omg. DAT ART <3

Solid first episode, did extremely well in the comedy factor which is good enough for me. I was pretty much laughing and smiling throughout the entire episode.

Depending on how much the anime adapts, it turns into more romance later on.

What's this, 50 Shades of Dog?

Not gonna say it isn't cliche but it is a HUGE improvement over Ao Haru Ride. In the world of shoujo cliche it's really important to have likeable characters and I was more entertained by the two leads in 1 episode than Futaba & Kou in 12. Of course this being similar to Kaichou wa Maid-sama might also be a big factor in that. At the very least we don't have to deal with brooding characters who over-dramatized everything in their life.

While I (and pretty sure most of you) can predict the things that's gonna happen and where this is going, the comedy should make up for it. Let's just hope they don't turn this into a sappy cringe-inducing romance. I don't mind sappy, just not the ones that are overdone.

Has romance. Or should have romance probably by the end of the anime. It's been awhile since I read the beginning of the manga. It's still mostly comedy at first though iirc.

Hmm I'm liking Sakurai's voice as Kyouya more than I thought I would. He's actually a pretty good choice since he's good with the chill tone, but he could be more sadistic sounding I think :P Erika's stupid lol, but I still like her. So far so good, with exception of ugly art at certain moments, though I don't mind that much since it seems like a low budget anime. The comedy is there and it's interesting to see Kyouya and Erika's interactions.

Also, really liking that OP!

Fine fine, ill stop insulting shoujo/josei.

AND HEY!!!! At least in male harems the chicks get to know the male MC first before they start falling for him!!!!

What? You mean D-Frag and Boys Be? Of course I'll watch them. I just didn't have time today lol

No, I'm just pointing out shoujo isn't josei nor are they similar. I don't know why you think she's falling for him because she's not. You make it sound like shoujo is the only demographic that has cliches when it isn't. Every demographic has them. Annnnd, a lot of harems do follow that (see Infinite Stratos, Boku Tomodachi, HoTD for example).

True friendship. This reminds me of Ao Haru Ride and a bit of Kaichou wa Maid Sama, not bad definitely, I'm gonna enjoy this one. After all, every season there's need to some silly romance.

Im getting a little Ginoki+Sougo vibes from Kyouya, his voice is ok but him having the same VA as Sougo would fit it too.

Mr. Sadistic and Ms. Lying Wolf Girl, this is going to get interesting!

Definitely gonna keep watching this!

Reminds me of Ao Haru Ride, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Maid-sama, and a tiny bit of Diabolik Lovers rolled into one anime!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

Why bother with a show intended as a guilty pleasure for girls? LOL That's like watching Diabolik Lovers, expecting it to be good.

Pretty decent start, in my opinion. Been looking forward to this one for a while. Had me up in giggles a few times too, brownie points in my book :3

Ugh, her friends though, I hope they don't plan on sticking around /:
Unsure how to feel about Sato and his bipolar-ness, hopefully he'll prove to be a likeable MC :)

Ahhh, that OP ♡

its like watching a sadistic Horo assert her dominance by exploiting the situation through demeaning actions for 8-10 minutes. Kyouya's mischievous personality will make this enjoyable for me

Memorable moment for me, along with a close up of his eyes burning with vengeance shortly after this scene.

Got to admit, only picked this show up on a whim cause the title interested me somewhat but also kinda was interested a typical trope you see in a far few anime (the guy gets led by the nose by the girl) being turned on it's head. I can say with complete confidence that I'm totally glad that I picked up this show, seems extremely good, can't wait for next week to see more of the Kuro Ouji and Ookami Shoujo.

Absolutely loved Kyouya character, giggled every time he did his 'S' personality switch from his 'Ouji' personality, and despite her faults I like Erika's character and how both her and Kyouya interact with each other (Lol at Tsundere Kyouya :3)

OP was interesting, pretty catchy and I feel like it fit the tone of the show relatively well

Eagerly awaiting next week with barely contained excitement! ^w^

Though I see how people can relate this to Ao Haru Ride, I see this more like.. Missions of Love or Hapi Mari.
Both of these shoujos have that male protag with a "bad/touchy" side to them.

OP reminds me of Avril Lavigne if she did Hello Kitty differently, but very enjoyable. The anime itself was great, laughed at parts involving the dark prince though the humor with Erica solo was a bit dry.

Hope to see them more together than separate.

This anime isn't particularly unique, but it's plenty amusing. Of course we all know how it's going to go, but I think I'll tag along for the ride anyway.

Diabolik Lovers they couldnt pick one route so it was left ambiguous. however this one.... its a dating of appearance... til it Gets "REAL"

To me, it seems a comedy about codependency written in a light and easy style. I'm sure some of you enjoy the part when Sata abusing her not because she is abused but because you can project the situation onto yourself and have a pleasure to spoil your beloved boy.
I guess he knew he could have other girls as his subordinate whenever he wanted; many girls confessed their feelings for him; but he had never been asked to pretend to be a boyfriend.
In my opinion, he is now like a rich and spoiled young master from an old novel, who is trying to attract his governess's attention -- for she follows his order just because they made the deal rather than she loves him.
A woman, who is in need of having a position in her society, approaches a rich and gifted man to make use of his appearance only. He agrees to play her game, starts to protect her from the secret and gives her phone calls to set up an alibi. He even stands to watch if someone is tracing her. But alas! She is not his girlfriend and he hasn't gotten her love yet... I wonder which of them is more like a sadist. :)
