| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great OP song, pretty catchy if you ask me. The episode had eh...more still scenes than I had thought. Animation is so-so I guess, not that I was expecting much. Overall, a decent episode since it introduced the main concept and characters. Yuuma's kinda an interesting character. Very straightforward kid. They will probably get to the more important stuff later but I think the first episode had a decent setup. Those bullies underestimated Yuuma. The fight is alright I suppose but Yuuma is awesome. |

| Well, I have to say, this was more interesting than I was originally expecting. The characters are at least pretty interesting. Yuuma's reactions to everything are just great--short and simple, haha. So I suppose I'm gonna be looking forward to seeing this show each week now, unless something goes wrong. |

| OP was short (probably because it's just first ep.? Because there's no ED), but great. KajiKaji's character was saved by Nakamura-san's character so he joined, but still too weak. He met that short guy (transfer student) who is also uses the power, but from a place called Naver. There's a short preview-ish part with chibi form of them, which were so cute. |

| Seems interesting enough for now. It'll be nice if the white haired kid gets some good development over the course of his stay in the human realm. Only critique is once again Kaji's voice. Can he not change it? It's like he's getting paid to just talk. It kind of takes you out of character immersion |

| Yuma looks so much like Near from Death Note. Even their attitudes are quite similar, except Yuma is agile and makes this baby face often. XD Them bullies picked on the wrong guy. That paper-ball went like a bullet! He even owned the guy outside once again. Totally wrong target. Osamu seems to be the ideal type of character; saving people in need regardless of their misdeed(s). Tbh, I expected him to be strong since he has a Trigger. Hopefully, he'll become a badass over time. Yuma being a Neighbor wasn't much of a surprise, given his superior skills with Trigger. But I think he meant as in he's not a monster Neighbor but rather the ones who suppresses them. I wonder why exactly the Gate opened all of a sudden to begin with. Perhaps, they'll explain it later on? Decent start. Though I really wished another studio than Toei adapted this. The story is quite interesting but the animation isn't quite suiting. |

| Well this was.... Boring. This was pretty meh imo. The animation, art, characters were all so mediocre. Sad cause the whole trigger on looks pretty cool. I doubt that I will be sticking for the long run. 2/5. |

| haha holy shit I couldn't stop laughing at the art and animation. You could even tell that they skipped in-between frames during some scenes; it was blatant! Not only that, it was a boring first episode. Which didn't help matters. It's perfectly understandable, though, since Toei is obviously overextending themselves. After all, their high quality work on Sailor Moon Crystal must be taking a toll on them. 2 episodes a month is a very strict schedule. |

| Ohh I like it so far. Yes the animation was ugly and it looks cheap, but I found it pretty interesting. Didn't realize Kaji would be an MC here, but yay :) I like Mikumo and Yuuma. Mikumo's justice type of personality and his seriousness is a good mix. Yuuma is laid-back. They already seem like a nice duo. Will probably go read the manga soon since the first episode was a good hook. |
| This was much better than I feared it might be--I'm watching Toei's Dragon Bone so I'm used to their style/quality (or lack thereof) of animation. Will probably end up following it as there were a couple of interesting parts, but the "I come from another dimension so please explain how earth does it." shtick may get old really fast... |

| I am really disappointed with the episode right now. The manga version was one of the best manga I've ever read, having a decent plot and ranking second only to Hunter x Hunter when it came to battles, and the characters were all interesting as well. However, the anime started off really badly. While the OP was good everything else was lackluster. The animation is particularly bad and the character designs are even worse than the manga. The overall art actually is pretty bad. I don't even know why they made the neighbors 3D or why they put so much effort into the trigger. The space between the dialogue is also awkward as well. I was really drawn in in the manga when Yuma revealed he was a neighbor especially since I expected him to be a border agent but in the anime I couldn't even feel a shred of emotion about the reveal. Overall, this was a poor beginning to the adaption of one of the best recent manga I've seen. I'm hoping right now that it gets better. |

| The quality worries me a lot though because it has the potential be really great as an anime. I really want it to live up the manga but judging by the first ep I'm not sure if it will which is sad because I'm enjoying the manga a lot at the moment! |
| ...looking at the previews for this i was always worried about the animation quality they were all just manga cut ins and poor cgi it's starting to make sense now. Least the OP is nice thought it was gonna be another DATABASE with that English at the start |
