500 years before Saiyuki? Meh, I don't really care about it. And I don't even particulourly like Saiyuki anywayz. Well, since I've watched all the other ones, I might grab it. |

Saiyuki Gaiden is the one with the story. I was sad when it recently ended.. so I'll probably watch this. |

Oh yesh. <3 I'm a big fan of Saiyuki. I've watched each season and each movie around five times, but I can never get enough. When I discovered Saiyuki Gaiden, I freaked out and kept reading it till dawn. And when I finished the last available scanlated chapter of Saiyuki Gaiden, I cried because it was so sad - so sad, but so worth it, and it showed me a lot about their pasts all over again. So to finally have an OVA come out on Saiyuki Gaiden - honestly, I was expecting it for a while now, but I'm glad that they finally decided to reel it in. I'm sure to cry more tears when it comes out. |

WAHHHH-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! I cracked a rib screaming with joy when I heard it finally got the green light!!!! :D and as for the gaiden, sadly all the replies saying that the gaiden is better...? It's totally true. Unlike the other three this one is... incredibly touching. You wouldn't expect it. I'm so loving this! Gaiden is so amazing and sad part of Saiyuki history and I have been waiting this so long~ I even started to cry when I watched trailer ^^ I'm so looking forward to this <3 Best anime of year 2011! |

I really can't wait to watch that. I squealed every time there was a flashback from the character's previous life in the original series. Now I get to see it all! :) |

i just have to say that i'm hoping DESPERATELY that they do this the same way they did Saiyuki Reload: Burial. those three OVAs were... WOW. JUST like Minekura-sama's style! i've got my fingers crossed! XD |

sadly that depends entirely on when someone who can do subs gets a hold of it. the airing date is only for japan so the day it's released to the US or even available for purchase from another country is also totally up in the air... :/ |
