Mahou Shoujo Taisen Episode 26 Discussion

And that wraps it up! A magical girl show with a variety of characters in different settings. The final episode has a rather ambiguous ending though...I'm not sure how I feel about it.

This was a nice anime with a nice variety of girls.
Some of them where great others where a bit boring but all in all it was ok, there where two girls at the end i have not seen before tho.
Obviously the grey haired girl who looked like a new dark mahou shoujo from the way she spoke.
And the country girl that missed her bus.
It seems like a cliff-hanger for a new season, but time will tell i guess.

I would like to have something on this magical girl, as her objective sounds interesting for this show. Perhaps there will be something coming out as a follow-up or whatnot, and I hope so. This was an interesting series, even though the decision for short episodes I thought was a bit weird for this sort of thing. At least the art and animation was pretty, as expected from Gainax.

It was good to see the other magical girls doing well.

I wonder who are the last two girls are at the end.

I got a feeling that it will get a second season.

so that entire last episode was basically a sequel hook? Without the announcement of a sequel.

I'm guessing this entire series might have been a prequel to a normal full lenght anime about that farmer girl and the god slaying mahou shoujou...


or atleast thats what I'm hoping CUS DAYUM SHE IS BADASS...

The character design and the transformations were quite good.
Would really be great if this were just a backstory
of an actual 24 min. per ep. long anime :)
And it definitely looks like it's going to have a sequel so
I'm hoping for a longer and more serious one :)

That's not how I wanted it to end... I wanted it to be the final grand battle where all the magical girls we saw join forces together against the greater enemy. Wouldn't that be awesome?

We got to see all the girls again, but not the grand battle that I wished for...

...did we just get Gainax End?

Looks like all the Mahou Shoujo have gone back to their normal life. Rei was the best one among all of them though.
Loved the song that was playing along the scenes.

That gray-haired new Mahou Shoujo looked pretty epic. A cue for a possible second season?

The beginning was a cute MV kind of thing of all the mahou shoujo we've seen. I recognized most of them except maybe one or two, not all of them were memorable :P Hmm I'm surprised they ended the final episode that way. I mean if that's the ending, then it seems like there must be a season two.

I liked the concept, but it didn't turn out very interesting.

That was okay I guess. Didn't expect much from this anime since it's only 4 minutes each ep but I did enjoy the eps made. So, 6/10.

So I guess there's going to be a second season? I dunno why else they would make an episode like this. Like, what's with that new Mahou Shoujo? What's up with that girl who missed the bus?

Anyway, I'd give this show a 5-7/10. It was ok and nothing stood out. Sometimes it was interesting, but overall it was nothing special. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't really like it either...The OP was pretty good though!

I think the series is nice as it is. The ending looks like it could be either "what happens after happily ever after" or a sequel.

Personally, I feel that if they made the episodes ~20 minutes, they would be pack with charge effects like the spirit bomb or an intelligent character acting like an idiot for 5 minutes on a simple clue. I say this. but I still feel 3 minutes doesn't give much pleasure. It's hard to argue length though because it was more of a filler for time slots of 30-minute blocks where episode (including OP/ED) lasted only 18~23 minutes.

Wait- an open end? Means there will be a 2nd season?

I am just too happy to hear the 2nd of my fav. OP.

6/10, was a nice little series.

That was an opening ending. Would be nice to watch it cut into a couple longer episodes.

For those who do not know, that white-haired girl at the end is the main character of the Mahou Shoujo Taisen game that came out earlier this year, so that game is probably what happens after she arrives. I wouldn't know for sure, though, because I cannot read Japanese.

visualy a rly great show! nice different chara designs and a nice idea with the different regions, they are representing. what is missing is a better story and chara developement, but thats okay for a show dedicated to young girls and its absolutely okay for a show with 250 s for each episode. with that in mind the producers did a rly good job. music is also nice. so i magically transform this show into a 0,73. perfect show for magical girl fans who have to fill some time somehow. =)

How can they end with a God slayer coming? Main girl from game huh? sounds cool.

It was really good and I hope they make a season 2.

This anime suffered from a lack of time. It should've been full-length and not a short. It just doesn't work. If they had to make it 4 minutes long, they should've stuck to one character. This had potential, but it never went anywhere near it.

How sad this last episode, there is right given the time to admire as if seen in a whole souls and in the meantime the series whet your interest in a new character and then close there. Interestingly enough, the level of the drawings is good. Anime cute, the best arcs were only three, but the characters are all great.

Finally I can put this shit to rest. Even for a 4 minute show, this was an absolute bore to watch...never thought I would utter these words while watching a Gainax show.

3/10 and I'm being generous.

Osts quite good esp ep25. Very nice art & some small creativity, great designs sasuga pixiv selection. Some animation could've been better but ok as low budget.
Formula works & kept me interested to keep watching, but some arcs & mcs were quite lacking.

3/10. Very inconsistent and cliche.

Sorry, but this anime was garbage.
I love Japanese culture and I love magical girls but this anime was such a mess.
I think I laughed during the first episodes but that's it.
Not even fanservice can save this anime.

Where's the second season, spin-off, sequel? It's from 2014 and it's 2019 now, and there is noting in sight...
