Indeed. I am expecting another full 2 cour again. Good to know they are focusing on the manga as well too.

I prefer the manga for this one, but the series is alright. Will probably watch the second season as well.

AMAZING NEWS!
I was about to lose hope in the anime industry for not doing that, guess I misjudged it.

I love this anime so much. It's so nice to finally have a sports anime that's cute and angst-free.

Yahooo! Finally, I get some good news today ! Can't wait for it !

Don't talk to me about character development if Kaizuka Inaho or Slaine Troyard are in your favorites.

Anime about Tennis. Aside from moments where the animation goes derp, it's a good show.

Honestly the manga is so much superior to the anime but the anime isn't bad or anything.
People should read the manga though, there are some parts that are left out.

Nice to see this underrated gem getting the 2nd season it deserves. Even if the animation is questionable, it is by far the most realistic sports anime I've seen so far.

Whas the animation really that bad ? I'm the kind of person who notices bad animation only when it's really bad ( like the infamous Naruto vs Pain scenes, or the weird shots from the newest Sailor Moon Crystal). Granted, Baby Steps animation is not flashy or anything, I'd say it reminds me of the average pre-2010 series, but it's far from bad.

Well it's not unwatchable or anything, but being an NHK anime (strict budged) and Pierrot being the ones animating it, you pretty much get the idea. But since the source material is good, the animation can be somewhat excused if you're not extremely shallow. That being said, I personally prefer quality over quantity, but in Baby Steps' case, I'm excited about the quick follow-up season.

it was predictable but I don't mind. nice series.

I'm glad that two sport series that I care about are getting sequels (other one is, of course, Teekyuu).

Well it wasn't horrible more like mediocre imo. There was some derp faces every now and then but otherwise it was the usual Pierrot quality.

Last time I heard the anime didn't follow the manga, right? So is this sequel a filler or somehow they managed to connect back to the manga? Or did they just add a little bit of original stuff into the anime but still follow the manga's storyline?

Nice!! I was planning on reading the manga when the anime finished airing but it looks like i'm gonna have to put it on hold a little longer. I've always enjoy watching the anime instead of reading the manga when it comes to sport series

Never said it was very bad. Just that it has some moments where it's not really that good. Overall it's passable.

Ehhh... I don't like this series much at all, for a number of reasons. If it's 2-cour I'm not watching.
