Wowwwww, now that is what I call a season ending!!! What a ride it has been to see Kanekis transformation into the beast that he is now. I really can't wait to start the 2nd season, they really laid down a great path of where this show can go. I'm very intrigued to learn more about this new CCG agent that seems to be a killer. I'm excited to see about the one eye owl. It feels like civil war is just getting started between the CCG and Ghouls and they are going to fight over the city.

I am a manga reader, and I didn't see anything that horrible as other manga readers told me it would be. I think this was actually a decent adaptation. Yes, they did leave out some cool stuff from the original which im still dissapointed about, but other than that, I dont think it was that bad. Like a decent 7/10 for me.

There are interesting ideas in this story, like how not choosing someone to save could be considered a weakness instead of kindness, or at least thats how Kaneki how could internally feel after suffering trauma on top of his pain of losing his mother, so yeah I wasn't really expecting much of this final episode after the whole disappointment the anime was, but I think that just for that scene alone I might even check the manga, at least the first or two arcs to see how it compares with the anime.

But yeah, I know that animes are usually just publicity for mangas, but I don't know, I don't see most people happy from decisions they used, maybe they really wanted to show the white haired kaneki at the end, but if you really needed time, you could have cut those two episodes where that weirdo who speaks english words at times and the scene where he comes back and you would have had at least 2 more episodes to work on, he just wasn't interesting in the slightest, you seem you were cutting so much already, so, you know... overall, I wouldn't really recommend this anime to anyone, it was just a rushed mess.

One thing that worries me though is how his mental transformation seems to be instantly drastic instead of gradual after the torture, I feel gradual mental changes are usually more akin to reality, but well, it might have been an anime issue just as well instead of something from the manga, I don't have hopes for the story, but we will see, maybe, in the long future.
