| It's odd, I'm usually pretty empathetic even to villains but I had to attempt to have empathy for Bellamy. His weakness + crying face was a bit irritating. When did Bellamy become friends with Luffy? I saw that they were on good terms now but nothing really happened for them to be friends aside for Bell apologizing in a way and Luffy wanting him to win his match. Luffy's "Hey, now. You're part of that generation, too!" seemed somewhat out of character to me. Luffy rarely shows us his acknowledgement of those sort of titles aside from his desire to be pirate king and showing pride about his bounty increase once. Maybe some timeskip character development for our future pirate king? Do'Flamingo got hit too easily too. Haha, I'm rarely ever this critical of One Piece. Seems this chapter was bad ass to everyone. |

| A rather satisfying chapter I must say. The combo as many have stated was very nice and very much needed. I saw some people commenting about wanting a one on one fight with luffy. Me personally, I feel that it's not necessary at this point. I guess you can make the argument that we need to know that luffy can stand up to characters like Doflamigo. I'd rather have it where Luffy decides to make use of teamwork here in fighting him. This will show his slow but progressive maturity (if any) and allow us the pleasure of second guessing his strength, which in turn will allow hype to build when Oda inevitably separates Law and Luffy. |

| That Redhawk was SO delicious.What an amazing chapter, can't wait to see next one - says me every week.One Piece ruling as always. Also i probably laughed way too much when Luffy kicked Bellamy.I so didn't expect that and then that Luffys reaction which was too hilarious.Also, Luffy is a great person...calling Bellamy a friend despite what he did to him in past.Personally i can't do it. |

I think the reason Luffy was mad at him because what he's done to Montblanc, not what he did to Luffy himself. He punched Bellamy already and got the golden back. Luffy was getting cautious when he saw Bellamy again in Dressrosa but he was convinced that Bellamy has changed, so he got over it. And he's that kind of person who easily sympathizes with someone who gets treated badly even though that someone used to be his 'enemy', like Brownbeard, Gin, for example. He would befriend anyone, really. It's not surprising to see he called Bellamy his friend. Plus, it's hinted in chapter 710 that they talked quite a bit. I was surprised at first when Luffy said something about worst generation, it's like for the first time Luffy cared about something like that. But, maybe Oda did that to show that Luffy, too, has changed. |
| At the beginning the Bellamy scene with Dofla was kind'of sad. But then Oda made it funny. Didn't like that! All the rest was gold though :) |

Yeah but it didn't have the same impact with this imo,I mean DD has probably the longest build up for a villain (counting out BB for obvious reasons),he did some terrible things,no one could touch him and he always stands on top of others,to be hit by a red hawk...man it brings satisfaction.(Even though I love DD) |

| After this arc is over, I srsly hope I won't be reading comments like: "oh man one piece sucks doflamingo overhyped so long then defeated easily blah blah", because this is the longest arc ever in One Piece, and it's actually been all about Doflamingo from Punk Hazard up till now.. from Bellamy, to Dofla's dealings with the WG, every past scene of Mingo has connected into this one punch and the battle that's about to unfold |

| So much mischaracterization in this chapter, but it doesn't bother me because it was still fun. I liked how Bellamy predicted the move himself. short_review said: Great strategy. That was quite unpredictable for Dofla. This Luffy + Law combination could be really troublesome. I understand now what they were talking about when Sugar was getting close to them in the previous chapter. So unpredictable it instantly reminded me of Naruto 598. |
