Been waiting and finally the wait is over. Ryuko even though had to fight hoomaru which I totally didn't expect we would get her backstory was badass. Using the scissors blade to finish off In all its epicness. Then the soundtrack that wasn't used ( Til I die) made it into this episode.

i didn't know what to expect from the special.. but it certainly went way up and above every possible expectation i could have had. Freaking awesome as always from Kill La Kill.

sad thing is though, that it took me a month or so to get over the ending of the anime ._. gotta hurry and watch something else before the sadness applies D:
also.. gotta get the that limited BD edition.

I liked the idea and the execution. It felt like the scissor blade's final mission was to cut the umbilical cord to everyone's past selves.

Also, the blade transformation scene in the end was awesome. I wonder if they ever make a real life model of this lol

That beginning was so bittersweet. Reminded me of how much I missed this anime. The whole thing was insane and outrageous but then again that's what I like about Kill la kill, that everything is so crazy and overblown. Very nice overall.

nice! I guess we got the real ending of the series.. That was a pretty fun episode actually, it was great to see all of those wonderful characters again and especially to see that opening song again (I like how they added some outfits for a bunch of people now that the anime ended, we got to see Ryuuko wearing Junketsu and Satsuki wearing Senketsu!!).

I felt like it served as pretty nice conclusion too, with a graduation ceremony of sorts, and everyone looks like they are going their separate ways in normal life..

That sequence with Ryuuko running up that cliff with the scissor blades was kickass.

I probably said it before in the last episode of the regular season, but I'll miss this show and its zany characters and over the top shenanigans.

Man i was really just expecting a farewell episode but what the hell was i kidding? This is Kill la Freaking Kill!

I loved this final episode, they packed so much shit into one final goodbye and i couldn't be happier with it. Yeah it's cheesy yeah it's over the top but that's why we all watch and love anime :)

This actually made me a lot more sad than I thought it would.. It wasn't even THAT long ago that episode 24 came out but I couldn't help but feel like i missed it already. This show probably has a lot of personal value to me as it couldn't have come at a better time. I needed something to distract me something to get me through, and what better show to do that than Kill la Kill?

The characters, the amazing animation, DAT OST, and the fact that it just didn't give a fuck, say what you want but this will always be one of my favourites and I couldn't have asked for a more over the top ending than what I got.

So glad that the studio that made my childhood awesome: Gainax was resurrected to form Trigger.

I'm sad that it's finally over but I'm happy it happened. Thanks for this Trigger I can't wait to see what else you have planned for the future; Thanks to Kill la Kill I was able to not lose my way ;)

Wow, that was nice. About 27 minutes of awesomeness.

Welp, it looks like she did cut her hair after all. What an OVA. Never forget.

This guy summed up everything i wanted to say. 10/10 forever.

This episode didn't have any cheesy ending some other animes have or really really awkward good byes. This one ends it all with a fight. One LAST fight to graduate. The ultimate form of the scissors - SCISSORS BLADE FINAL ADDRESS MODE DECOMMISSION MODE!!!!!!!!!!! AWWWW YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Not sure if I myself am off just today, but I didn't feel as excited as I had before while watching this episode. Perhaps too much time has passed since episode 24, but the "hype" is still strong so that's what's leaving me confused. Ah well.

Not enough SatsuRyu interaction at all!!! Was very disappointed and I THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE A BEACH THING TOO BUT APPARENTLY NOT. It was nice to see Rei back for some closure, though I had thought she had been sucked into Ragyo with Nui. Just a lot of unexplained things that were still kinda left unexplained in my opinion.

So that's how Satsuki got the do! Looking good my queen!

I think the highlight I got from the OVA was getting to hear "Till I Die"; that soundtrack was perfect for the mood, but I feel that it could have been strategically utilized better in the end. Who am I kidding, hearing much of the music was fantastic to experience again!

Honestly, was let down overall. It felt like the staff just shoved random action into the episode that was resolved way too easily. The biggest issue was Ryuuko. There was a perfect chance to show her truly advancing and developing as a great character (don't get me wrong, she is.... but she just hasn't changed much) while she was falling. More meaningful introspection and SHOWING that instead of her usual seemingly mindless battle cries and rushing top speed without much trouble. She may have changed a lot mentally, but it just bothers me because I couldn't see that during the battle somehow. Even at the very end during the credits... ugh I just can't be satisfied with how things played out.

The whole "graduation from Ragyo" concept was very cool. I felt that the inner turmoil occurring within Satsuki could have been better emphasized and worked into the episode however, as we don't get to see the "weak" her at all and that's what piqued my interest in the start of the episode. Most of it was about Rei and it just doesn't fit well to properly end the series with.

Anddd I'm going to stop my whining because I still love the series, the characters, the music, everything... even the absolute nonsense that I could really pick out in this, like wow how did I even watch this before and why am I thinking of it so seriously now? 8/10

You'd think that at this point, people would stop question the logic and asspulls when the show itself is known for being absolutely over-the-top and has been for more than 24 episodes. Hell, they even mentioned several times in this episode that "people don't make sense".

Only thing I like out of the anime was the beginning and Rei's background. Actually, after showing off that, I wish we got to see more of Rei beyond being Ragyo's second in command puppet.

Oh, so that's how Satsuki got short hair. What a stunning revelation!

All joking aside, this was a fun abide unnecessary ova (which is the case for most ovas for anime tv series) it's a fun little ova and not much else. It's nice to see these characters graduate. Would've been nice to see more interaction between Satsuki and Ryuko but whatever, there's only so much you can cram into a 25 minute ova. Sure, there's deus ex machina shit here too but that's the case with both Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann so you should be use to it by now

about a 7 or an 8.

Pretty good.
Rei's backstory is almost exactly as I imagined it, I thought I was dreaming for a second. I pictured Liberia because their civil war was famous, but they did mention Mozambique in the anime.

Some hilarious scenes as well, like Inumuta turning off his double. 7/10

Absolute unintentional highlight of the episode is when Ami Koshimizu as Ryuko just shouts her last ultimate attack name over that obnoxious Don't Lose Your Way song that tries to creep it's way into the episode. It's like "No I'm the star here, get back in the background!" and I love that final scene for it cause I swear it's like the only time it happens.
