My personality wouldn't have changed to the way it is if I wasn't introduced to anime and manga. If anything I'm thankful I found anime :)

Anime or the World?... Though Choice.

Me: There aren't any "choices" here. Without anime, the world doesn't worth living in!

I would be a better person, academically that is, without anime I think I'd be a lot more cynical and edgy.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I think it will suck for kids like me that grew up having to learn life philosophies all by themselves. Anime and manga just teaches you so much about life I personally think it makes you who you are as you grow up.

I think anime, if you watch the right kind, gives you a backbone of optimism and strength to face ordeals in life.

A good example was when I was visiting a forum with a lot of depressed people who just see everything grey ALL THE TIME.

Me for once, when I'm feeling stressed out I can get just as depressed. But I think that because of anime, I'm a more optimistic person that always perseveres and focuses on the positive things like goals and dreams.

I'll be like a normal, boring person who just like sport and talk about adult issue. Anime introduce me to Japanese and Art and Music.

Considering for me anime helps with my depression ALOT. I probably would have contemplated suicide I know I seem overreactive but the truth is that I get depressed and stress very easily anime helps me break from reality. However if it never existed at all then I would find another solution to break from reality like gaming or obbsessing with series' like Sherlock and or Doctor who which I love to this day. Anyways I know the first half is pretty dark but that's just true for me.

I would probably be more into stuff like books, games and Hollywood entertainment. I don't think I'd do much more sports or studying, since the amount of time I'd spend on escapism would remain the same no matter what entertainment I'd have available.

I would have stopped drawing, wouldn't have found a half of my favorite songs, wouldn't have taken art and computer science classes and wouldn't have found a friend... to think that I found anime by accident is a bit scary now.

Probably watch TV series instead and have more free time on my hands

"The other day I met this man, a nice guy, y'know?
And we had a really good chat. Then I slit his throat and ripped his heart out through his chest.
Does that make me a bad person?"

I wouldn't have gone to conventions and meet new people I became friends with, so yeah I would be a different person.
I think everything we do changes us in a way though, not just watching anime.

Perhaps you would never meet a certain person?

I wouldn't have sympathized with the whole world of MAL !

Perhaps your personality would have been like it belonged to an entirely other person?

Nah though, I was peculiar before anime.

Perhaps your views wouldn't be the same like they are right now?

Now I've got a thousand fetishes....

I'd have found another way to waste my life. I'm already watching a lot of western TV Series and movies, I'd probably just spend more time on all my other hobbies. Maybe I'd be mainly into movies, idk.
I probably regret this post by now.

My depression probably would've taken over my life and I probably wouldn't be here today lol.
I started watching anime at a very young age, I couldn't imagine the person I'd be today without it, if I'd even be here today.
It's something very important to me.
