| Taking break from manga producing. Shopping for material. Then photography for the poses. Nobu's character helping out in giving opinions. Nobu's character is asked for a model. Wow, that one of the girls is so scary. lol @ his poses. Even Nozaki-kun joins. Nobu's character still cannot refuse to many girls' requests. |

| Mikorin just dug his own grave with the nude model comment. It was funny to see him modelling like that and the requests he got where pretty funny i wonder if he learned anything from it. The shopping part was also nice especially in the figurine shop. |

| Lots of Mikorin hehe ^^ Lol'd so much at Nozaki telling Sakura "Can u wear this and let me take pics?" and then wearing it himself and wishing he was more slender without muscles XD The reactions were so lol Dat escalation of oil painting imagination XD The music while Mikorin was doing the S pose made it more hilarious XD And then using his figurine's for posing LOLOLOL The 4th pose was so lol we got a sadist in the house XD The way Nozaki took control of the art club was so lol XD |

| Took me a while to notice but it seems every episode is broken up into two side stories. First half "The Date" second half "The Model" Overlooked scene but I thought it was funny how when they were at the art store how the guy and the girl quickly grabbed the merchandise like they were embarrassed to be seen there. I've enjoyed every episode so far :D |

I swear Mikorin is my spirit animal. Those bishojo poses were outrageously hilarious. For those of you who usually look for some deep words in my anime response posts, there won't be much for this series because it's pretty lighthearted and doesn't really carry any universal messages as far as I've seen. I didn't decide to start watching this anime until yesterday, so I sped through all the episodes to reach this one, thus you won't be finding my usual reviews on the other episodes. However, I'm glad I decided to watch it! It's so funny and cheerful. Ah, so Nozaki's entire life appears to be manga and capitalizing from manga. Initially I thought that Sakura might teach him to embrace a life outside manga- the old saying, there's a time for work and a time for play- but Nozaki spends so much time working on manga that everything he sees can be represented in his art. In a a way, this is kind of a good representation of looking at the world through the eyes of an artist. When I started concentrating more on my art, I started looking at things differently- how objects are placed to create a pattern or contrast of colour, how the wind blowing affects hair and clothes flow, how sunlight hits fur...all sorts of things. I think Nozaki can't help but look at everything from an artist's perspective because it's so crucial to his life. And I guess it would seem a little ridiculous to most, especially when he tries on that sailor uniform, but there are many times when my artist friends or I have tried on clothing just for the sake of drawing reference. So all in all, it's not really that ridiculous, though the anime certainly pokes fun at it. It seemed a bit like breaking the third wall with the talk of bishounen and bishojo-though I'll admit I've thought of buying action figures just for drawing reference too, so Nozaki-kun, you're not alone! I really do feel sorry for Mikorin having to pose all that time, though, even if they're simple poses, it can still be tiring to hold a pose for a long time! |
