She committed suicide after being injured in one of her basketball games. Araragi finally showed up! He looks really different with that long hair. He showed up at a perfect time to help Kanbaru out. |

| Lol, Araragi's car is a Yellow Beetle? Weird. I don't dislike it but it's not the type of car I'm into. We see the Devil's Head. That's definitely Kaiki's... There's also another one-on-one match. I like how Kanbaru nails that slam dunk and secures the win. Good episode overall. I definitely liked the balance of it. |

| I found it strange to see Araragi driving a car. He looks a lot more mature than before, up to the point that it annoys me a little. I like a lot how he is, but seeing him like that made me feel that his youth ended, and with his youth, so does mine. Araragi became my favorite character from the begining because I could always feel myself related to him. I don't know. This episode left me empty. Too many things. |

| Araragi got that long hair that don't care. After hearing the whole story of Rouka I have to say I kind of feel sorry for her. She had it rough for so long just to have people come complain about their problems to her. Felt like she will bear all of their problems just for them to live a normal life.... Or that she's a ghost collecting devil parts and now I'm super confused. Seems Araragi is a adult now. No more bikes. Happy Araragi gave Kanbaru just the advice she needed it. That head at the end was creepy. Can't wait to see how this all ends. Man I wonder if Senjougahara looks any different. |

| Holy crap plot twist! She was a ghost all along! Ohhhhh. Spoooooky. In all seriousness, that was a interesting spin on that whole situation. Eager to see how this all turns out. And there he is! Our protagonist ladies and gentlemen! Oh god that car... I would say I didn't see it coming but knowing this series, kinda saw something like this coming... Not really a fan of his new hair but it does the job of showing the passage of time and his growth. Do like the jacket he's wearing a lot though. |

| That ponytail on Kanbaru looks so good that it's criminal. So Rouka has been a ghost all along? I kind of feel sorry for her. She's really not evil which is suppose the theme of this novel ( a moral relativity of sorts?) Araragi got a car from his parents? I thought they were supposed to be policemen? I don't know much policemen make in Japan, but I know foreign cars are pretty pricey over there. |

| Awwwn, our great and mighty senpai giving his advice to our cute ponytailed Kanbaru :3 And Araragi adopted an emo haircut o.O But it didn't change his character, still the same cleverly wise dude. That fucking car... Damn, it's ugly. I'm sure Hitagi forced him xD That Shinobu key tag was cute. Mmm, I'm really curious about the fact that she Numachi herself. If she was a ghost, Kanbaru shouldn't have been able to see her, since she wasn't related anymore to an abomination. She also seem so lonely... But in the end, I'm sure Sugura gonna find a way to solve the puzzle :) |

| So, Rouka was already dead three years ago... it was an apparition that Suruga met. Creepy, but that mummified devil head at the end is even more so. Koyomi grew out his hair and got himself a yellow Beetle for a car. He looks... much older than he should be. Dat Shinobu keychain! |

| So the morals of this story is 'do what you think is right', that's it? Hmm, I expected better. But even so, future Araragi was good even though his role changed to be more like Oshino now. And it's nice to see Suruga is still the only one who he can talk with as equals. Suruga will fight then. Rouka is aberration then. But can she be really saved? Maybe if Suruga gave her previous life a reason (were they dating with each other back then as OP suggests?). Or.. did Suruga get rid of her hand by herself? Well, not the most interesting arc so far but we'll see how it ends. |

| There are 259 posts in the Ep 5 discussion thread - What the actual frick?? O_o Gosh I hope the ending doesn't involve some messed up plot twist that breaks me aka someone dying (other than Numachi) :c I was actually surprised by what Karen said about Numachi - that's when things got real, I did think it was strange of her to wish Kanbaru to live a "human" life. Still don't quite understand why she has decided to make the Devil her enemy, the plot is quite weak in describing her intentions since it never played a role in her suicide. Then... a wild Araragi appears with a chibi Shinobu keychain, 10/10 did not expect :) |

| Even though Hanako was a ghost the whole time she still kind of helped a lot of people and took on pieces of the devil, but she also did it for very selfish reasons. So she’s kind of a badass ghost devil hybrid which is pretty badass, but I imagine we’ll never really see her again. |
