| Short version would be she's the most prevalent in Fate (which is the only route who's gotten some sort of anime tv-series adaptation, albeit a butchered one), but in UBW she's got much less focus and not to mention in HF she's mostly a side character. Also for shipping most people think Rin has much better chemistry with Shirou whereas Saber is better for being just what she is: a fighter. |

| As much as I hate tsunderes. To back their case, ''doormat'' main characters make them seem worse as most (around 90%) of 'em show no rebuttal after getting violently abused by tsunderes.. 50% of the problem goes to the MC as they don't do shit and make tsunderes even more hated. |

IMO the only good examples of tsunderes that I can think of are Kurisu from Steins;Gate and Aoba from Cross Game. Kurisu is more like a realistic tsundere, if there is such a thing. She's not abusive in her quibbles with Okabe. She's also pretty badass in her role in the story. It's been a while, but I remember her exemplifying the role of "strong female character" perfectly. As for Aoba, she annoyed me a little at first, but she's thankfully never outright abusive either. She tones it down mostly to friendly banter. Her backstory and her dishonesty are also so well-done that it's hard not to like her. She's more about baseball and coming to terms with her feelings than anything. TLDR a good tsundere should not have "tsundere" be their defining trait. |

Any tsundere voiced by Rie Kugimiya is by definiton bad, be it Louise, Shana, Yuuhi, Aria or even Taiga. Still, I can tolerate Taiga for some reason, but she is pushing my buttons anyway. On the other hand, perfect type of tsundere IMHO is definitely Makise Kurisu. I really loved her character. Before her, it was Ayano Kannagi from Kaze no Stigma. |

| What makes a good character period? Write a character that feels like an actual human being. If they happen to be tsundere fine - but they need to be an actual person. Not just a tsundere. That behaviour should be a product of their character, not the other way around. |
