Recently I've watched alot of anime with Tsunderes in them, and while I really, really hate the character type,i felt i might as well try looking at it from a different point of view,so i was wondering, what makes a good tsundere? if such a thing exists

A good tsundere is a character that isn't written from the basis the she has to be a tsundere.

Rather, a good tsundere is a female character who ends up behaving like a typical tsundere would. Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari is a decent example of such a character. She has reasons to behave in such a way.

I love tsunderes by the way.

Why do you people hate tsunderes?

A good tsundere for me are the likes of Tohsaka, Rin from Fate/Stay Night and Makise, Kuirisu from Steins;Gate. they're both b*tches but you'll still love them.

Tsunderes are good when they have a legit and believable reason to act cold toward the person they like and lose their tsun when whatever that reason is gone/resolved.

Sadly majority of these tsunderes failed horribly in that department and the only thing they deserved from the people they liked is their middle fingers.

Well, in general because they turn something positive and beautiful (love) into something annoying and painful. Individually because they almost always fail to make me understand them. I just don't understand putting your loved through verbal and physical harassment/pain, no matter if it's a common trope or not.
As for your examples, Kurisu was pretty tame and also in SG pretty much everyone was a sidekick to Okabe in terms of screen presence. He was too awesome for me to even start getting annoyed with Kurisu. The whole thing was just a small part of the whole story. Unlike Rin from FSN, I remember hating her quite much. Only the new adaption will tell if it's more her or DEENs fault that I hated the first FSN anime.
And it's not like I always hate them, but the best case scenario is that I can tolerate them like Taiga, who annoyed me a lot of times but overall I could still enjoy Toradora. I searched my favorites for any potential tsunderes and the only one I found were Chiaki from Nodame Cantabile, and he's a guy. Tsunderes in real romance anime are a no-go for me, and when it's overused for comedy it's also pretty annoying so there aren't many enjoyable applications for the trope left.
I probably regret this post by now.

A good tsundere should be a loli. That way she's more like a little bug or a cat.

Only one thing: Not violent

This kinda reminds me. Why is it, in most manga/anime MC always choose violent girl rather than a nice girl?

and FeMC (usually, in shoujo) always choose a guy who made her cry over a nice guy.

Hard to pick in Diabolik Lovers then xD.
Who can blame them though? Don't we all want to be loved SO MUCH that we end up being abused?

I personally have no problem with tsunderes. (Hell, most of the time, they're a lot more entertaining than boring nice characters). It's just that many of them don't develop as much as they should and tend to act in cliche ways( like when they slug the MC and call him a pervert when what happened was CLEARLY an accident, so I can see how that can get annoying). So as long as they have a reason to act the way they do and have other qualities to compensate for their "tsun" behavior, then I'm fine with them.

By the way, many people claim to hate tsunderes, yet the always poll the most popular out of all the "deres". What's up with that?

A good tsundere is more often than not a traditional tsundere rather than a modern tsundere. Not always, but often.

A traditional tsundere is tsuntsun at first, but slowly turns deredere over time, like Taiga from Toradora!

A modern tsundere switches back and forth between tsun and dere. At their worst, they'll switch up to a couple times a minute, like Louise from The Familiar of Zero.

They must be like Shaina.

Shaina has a very good reason for being tsundere and her being tsundere is done in a serious, mature manner not for comedy like what is done in romcoms.

Character development and a well fleshed out personality, and not a generic one, for the personality to be something more than template of a tsundere.

Good Tsunderes I know are Senjougahara (although it's debatable because of how unique she is) and Taiga.
