That got spicey very fast. It looks like Punpun got what he wanted but not the way he wanted.
Poor Midori, though :/
She's so lonely that she projects Oyasumi onto Punpun and clings to that idea.
It seems to me she has attachment issues similar to Mamimi Samejima from FLCL.
I wonder what consequences will befall the already messed up Punpun and what will happen when Oyasumi finds out?

aaand people in this thread in the past is exactly the same type of stuff that made me stray away from anime for the past like... eight years. i dont know how to feel after this chapter. i wish i honestly read this and followed through reading when i was younger because i probably would have enjoyed it a lot more even with some inability to catch the nuances due to lack of life experience. oh well, everybody loves it and im determined to see whats up.

I fail to understand why some people are saying Punpun was raped, sure what Midori did was inappropriate for an adult but he wasn't forced and he just went along with it.

@Aparo Different power dynamics which comes with the age difference. This is the whole reason why big age gaps relationships are so problematic, because there is always a big imbalance in the power dynamic.

In this case, it's even worse because he is a kid, and isn't old enough to make his own decisions or be aware of the consequences of it. As an adult, she is willingly exploiting this aspect and taking advantage of it. Also, while emotionally manipulating him. Being forced to have sex, isn't simply about being physically unable to leave, but also emotionally. Punpun clearly was overwhelmed, was crying and in an emotional state where he couldn't say or do anything but let it happen. It's rape.

Also, this isn't just "inappropriate" but a crime.
