Hi! I'd like some anime, manga, novel; anything in which the characters are students and got involved in a romantic relationship.

Romance doesn't have to be the main theme but it should be addressed with considerable proportion and enough closure.

I hope for something more realistic.
I do love series like Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Itazura na Kiss, and Daa! Daa! Daa!; but now I'd like to take a break from those types.

It'll be lovely to enjoy something more "pure".
Bad example: Gakuen Alice is no "pure" at all. How can elementary school kids kiss like that??

Please don't recommend me long dramas such as Kimi ni Todoke. To be honest I've never tried this series but reading the summary and seeing the number of volumes is enough to put me off.
I also have no interest in Clannad.
And no ecchi.

Spoilers at minimum, please!

Thank you!

Try Lovely Complex. It balances the drama and comedy.

I watched the live action adaptation of Lovely Complex years ago and started the anime a few weeks ago. I liked it, but now I'm putting the anime on hold because I can't stand the thought of saying goodbye to the characters T_T

I've been curious with Toradora... Maybe I should try it now?
I've been hesitating to try this because I read the reviews of the anime and I can't decide whether to try the anime or go straight to the novels...

Are there more suggestions? :)

You should continue watching. You'll not regret, I promise.

Kimi ni Todoke the anime version is pretty short (especially compared to the manga) and it still wraps up pretty well

Spirited Away: The romance isn't strong in this film but this movie is still a must watch

Toradora!: One of the best romance anime and pretty pure

Clannad: Also a pure romance

Ouran Highschool Host Club

Kokoro Connect

For a pure romance, I highly recommend Last Game, which is about two college students who've known each other since elementary school. The guy has always had a one-sided love for her and is pretty silly about it. Hasn't finished yet, but it's a nice break from drama. If you're open to non-school life, try Akagami no Shirayuki too. Similar pure romance, though less overt comedy in favour of a constant gentle, lighthearted atmosphere.
