Is this anime worth it if I have already watched FMA:B? What's the difference? When does the story stop being loyal to the manga? Is the ending different? No spoilers please

Compared to FMAB, I would say no it isn't worth it. But a lot of people do like it so you could always try it. You might be one of those.

Everything is different after episode 25, FMA also had some other stories in the beginning that weren't in FMAB. The ending, the characters, the story, etc is all different after episode 25. That's when they go to Rush Valley with Winry, around episode 25 in FMA, around episode 15 in FMAB.

Well, if you've already seen Brotherhood, then the first season won't be as impressive as the reboot. But some people do like the original more, so I would suggest at least checking it out completely.

I like Brotherhood more, but the first series is certainly a great watch as well. It's more of a drama than a battle series, and of course the plots completely diverge at a certain point.

I enjoyed the first version, but i may be biased as i was watching the original version years before brotherhood would ever be released. But i think its worth it, its a fun ride cool to see how it plays out differently than brotherhood. But don't get me wrong hands down brotherhood has way better animation and the storyline is better imo. If i only ever watched brotherhood i could be fine never having seen the original. But if you plan to watch all the movies i'd say definitely watch the original and then the FMA movie since its the after of the series.

Worth what?

The major difference is that the Anime caught up to and ultimately ended before it's source material, therefor the last half or so is all Anime original content.

i love when people ask if anime is worth it.

like the entire process of watching anime is a chore, and only worth it to see the ending.

hence why sol is so unpopular here.

Fma B has a much different story line than fma once you get past the first few episodes and a much more satisfying ending. Yes it is definitely worth it

It's not a bad series, but if you had watched the original or read the original, it's a bit hard to see all the characters and see the story go the way that you don't remember because it's so different.
I'd say watch it anyways if you love the characters and want to see them head a different route for no reason. It's like watching an AU.
