I think we can make the conclusion that the Mahouka novel fan base did indeed translate into Mahouka anime sales. As a novel fan, I can say that the anime is not fancy but satisfy to watch.

Gochiusa volume 2 also doing well, lovely. <3

GuP is pretty awesome though.

I felt a bit disappointed by Mushishi's sales. I'm only three episodes into the second season yet I already think it deserves at least 6,000 copies sold for a strong second and third episode.

People who criticize GuP haven't watched it in 95% of the cases. I was disappointed with it's PVs but the real series hooked me up very fast.

To be honest, I was hoping for more sales from

31. *2,752 *2,752 M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane ED "SABLE" by nano (included in "INFINITY≠ZERO/SABLE")

But considering that the anime is pretty terrible, it probably didn't attract many people to take a look at said song.

10k for Mahouka... guess I should be glad it isn't 20k.
And yeah, Mushishi sold way too low.
Thankfully Mädchen und Panzer sold fairly well. A shame these battles couldn't be included in S1 from the start.

I'm sure this is on par with what they expected. I think I heard the first season sold quite well, but the 10 years wait could only hurt the sales really, so considering everything, 4k isn't that bad.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

I was gonna wait and see what the sales were before deciding whether to import the BDs, now I will. We can only hope its sales increase as it gets into the other arcs. It deserves a lot more than it does but at least it isn't a flop. Hurrah! You've done us proud Japan.

18. *5,945 *5,945 Rail Wars! OP "Mukai Kaze ni Utarenagara" by Minori Chihara

That's some disappointing first week sales for the goddess. Best OP of the season without doubt, my copy is on its way.

A really nice boost for v1 of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun[, and v2 is also still holding up nice. Its still on-track for best selling new anime series of Summer 2014, even with the ticket drop. The event ticket drops are sadly making Hanayamata, Futsuu no Joshikousei ga【Locodol】Yattemita and Sabagebu! look even more depressing that they already are. they would be lucky to get a 2k average at this rate. Together with Super Sonico and Sakura Trick, thats already 5 sub 3k selling CGDCT shows for 2014. Oh well, at-least Gochiusa did really good, and I still have hope for Yama no Susume S2.

Series do not break even at 3k, and with it even ticket drop it'd be lucky to even get a 2k average.

Can't say I'm shocked that Mahouka sold well, since it's pretty much for the same people that liked SAO. Glad Panzer and Love Live were above it though, since I actually enjoyed those.

Really happy to see two of my favorites, LL and GuP, up at the top and selling really well. Excited for the upcoming movies for both series!

Gochiusa again does well, it would be a shame to not see a S2 with those sales.

Mahouka sells 10k, but much like the anime, I am not sure what to make of it.

Ah Yeah is doing well and I'm glad.
Also, Kurobas still going strong. Guess people really yearn for S3.

Eh, I'm hoping Mushishi does better in the future.

Good to see some GnP on that list though.

Good to see Love Live still selling extremely well, even though it had a big drop.
Also, good numbers for the GuP OVA and Gochiusa, makes me happy.

What sucks is that Mushishi is practically an original anime at this point. The manga ended years ago so aside from disc sales literally nowhere else to gain revenues from.

The big drop of sale on Love Live! is expected since vol. 2 doesn't have event tickets that the vol. 1 has. But still, those sales numbers are still good. Can't wait for the movie next year.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

These Haikyuu sales are amazing just like the show. Hopefully they announce S2 after the first season has ended.

These sales are depressing. What the fuck mahouka?

I agree it is depressing, but thats because a garbage like Gochuumon, Mekakucity Actors and Kamigami no Asobi sold way too high. Even 1000 BD is too high for these mediocre animes.

What people like about Gochuumon ? Did people like it because of lolicon ? Fate/kaleid has much cuter lolicon, it is more funny, it has story, it has action and magic. It is better than Gochuumon in every possible way.

I don't think i'm going to take somebody who spells "anime" as "animes" seriously.

I'm glad Gochiusa is selling but I'm worried about Hanayamata, it's a bit too yuri for most of the audience and may end up not selling like Sakura Trick. Tami made my heart skip beats almost constantly throughout most of the 4th episode, the rest was pure tearjerker and sympathy.

Holy shit those Mahouka sales O.o
Surprising considering the adaptation is a failure compared to the novels from what I hear.

Sidonia going strong :)

Also happy to see Monogatari up there. Mekaku sales dropped which isn't surprising.

I hope Nisekoi gets a little more though, might encourage a second season.

It's just the elite novel readers saying BS like usual, sure they slow down/rush stuff here and there like every other anime.
And they even released specials explaining stuff about the series but apparently no one can be bothered to do a search on the series.
