Name: Nathanael Quinonez Age:27 Gender:Male Subject:Modern and Contemporary American Poetry Total Status Points: 10 Primary Power: Weapon Infusion: Nathanael can infuse his clothing (specifically—his coat) with life energy to empower and energize it, offering it life. This resulted in his coat gaining emotions and a mind of his own. Nathanael granted the name—Rupert. This allows Nathanae to be able to manipulate its quality and efficiency. The coat posses a variety of abilities and be effective in both offensive and defensive combat. Applications: Nathanael’s coat can absorb damage and generate sufficient energy to create a small-scale earthquake. The coat is capable of creating various weapons such as craws, sword and dagger though it’s at the expense of his energy (the more he creates, the less energy he processes). Limitation: Nathanael needs to wear his coat in order to channel his energy into it to capture its potential. He needs to keep his emotions in check constantly in order to prevent his abilities from running out of control. Secondary Power: Not applicable Attributes: Exceptional Offensive Strength Weapon of Choice: Nathaniel's coat-- nicknamed: Rupert. Rupert is flirtatious in nature and tend to be quick to temper. It's noted that he can't stand Nathaniel for reasons unbeknownst to him, however he's willing to lend a helping hand to him if necessary. Biography: Memories of his past as a child, in regards to the death of his biological mother and father is suppressed. This resulted as a direct catalyst for his seemingly indifferent exterior and seamless interior. After their passing, he was adopted by a mysterious and skilled man who raised him up to be the skilled man he is. However, he too becomes a part of a reminiscently bitter past when Nathaniel came into realization that his master is the cause of his own parents’ death. This was enough to push him over the edge yet he could not find himself to seek revenge against his master. Not much is known about his history after he left, but one day he received a letter of invitation for a teaching position in Shiroku Highschool which he accepts. Personality: Nathaniel tends to keep to himself mostly, refusing to open up to others in fear of them running away after seeing the demons he’d kept a lash on. He hides his emotions well, projecting an air of calmness though if he’s nervous he would bite his nails nervously. He values intelligence, knowledge, and competency. It is worthy to note that he has high standards for himself which he continuously strives to fulfill. To a somewhat lesser extent, he have similar expectations of others. However, it is certain that the two ended up as friends. Three years ago, Naosuke met Nathaniel and Rupert at the Writer’s festival where he got into an argument with Rupert almost immediately. After clashing, the two became friends though Rupert can’t stand his guts. Personality: Naosuke is at first characterized as an energetic, playful, and at times seemingly absent minded. But, he is slightly insane; he enjoys challenges and is thrilled by the prospect of a formidable enemy. She is as well is affected by her own powers which may often cause a hindrance when using the said ability. Attributes: Above Average Strength Above Average Recovery Weapon of Choice: Fists Biography: Born of high status, Rei was taught by private tutors from a young age. She was a fast learner much to her parents and tutors pleasure. Aside from the normal set of subjects, she was also receiving lessons on etiquette, how to play the piano, tea ceremony and others more. She had enjoyed the lessons she took but was a little lonely since she was often left alone. Being the only child of the Mikado household, Rei's parents were a bit too overprotective and barely let her out to play with other kids. During her preteen years, she had tried to escape the house from her room on the third floor of the Mikado residence but was discovered by one of the maids bringing in the afternoon snack. Surprised, Rei lost her balance and slipped on the roof. Bracing for the fall, she had closed her eyes and wished that she would float. She did and that was how she discovered her ability. Rei tried to learn more of her ability over the years, although her parents never knew of it. | Name: Sinjirou Yamaho Age: 25 Gender: Male Subject: B. Mathematic Total Status Points: 10/10 Primary Power: Aura Aura is a unique ability that can only be traced in his bloodline. Aura appears to be a purple force that lingers from his body when he is tempted to use his abilities. This Aura is not to be mistaken for the traditional definition of Aura, but more in the genre of 'Magic.' Aura has a specific list of abilities that is special to Sinjirou, as they are unique to each one born in his family. The side effects of long term use is fatigue and dehydration. Blade Toss/Teleportation: An ability that has to do with his throwing knives. The Aura carries each blade with added speed, strength, and accuracy. This can be noted by the purple energy that the blade is carried in. At his choice, he may appear to the blade once it hits an object, or in mid air. Aura Ears: This ability allows his Aura to venture inside an ear of his choice to magnify his hearing. Aura Summoning: This allows Sinjirou to summon a Qilin for offensive, defensive, and locomotion purposes. After the Qilin is taken down, it can re-summoned, and a total of 3 can be summoned. Also, he is able to summon a variety of weapons, except firearms, Nuclear weapons, and things of that high intensity. Things like swords, etc. Wall of Aura: A wave-like wall that can go as high as 30 Meters. Used primarily for defense. Aura Aid: The ability to use Aura to help assist clots to help close up wounds. Can not cease fatal wounds, but can slow down the damage. Comes in the form of paste, pill, stitch, or liquid. Tangible Aura: The ability to use Aura to take the form of everyday materials, like tea cups, chairs, etc. Aura Glide: The ability to use Aura to edit the gravitational mass of the one applied it one. Useful for climbing up walls, and climbing atmospheres. Secondary Power: None. Attributes: Above Average Agility & Accuracy Weapon of Choice: Throwing blades. Biography: Being raised in a normal household in a normal home in Osaka to normal parents in a normal nation was basically the life of Sinjirou in a nutshell, well, until he figured that his parents weren't exactly fair with the law. That eventually caught up with them, and soon they were to be executed while Sinji was at the annual school field trip to the shrine. When he returned, his home was seized by the Government, and his family name was belittled. It turns out his parents had used their special abilities to commit espionage for the DPRK, which were paying a hefty bit for the information. However, they had no choice since they were not able to get any other job due to their uniqueness. It was all for Sinjirou, family. Sinjirou was the only in attendance to the execution, and the funeral, which only threw him in a mental frenzy. At first it was revenge, but then it turned into fulfilling the wish of survival. He graduated, used the dirty money his parents had hidden in their backyard to attend University in Scotland, majoring in Mathematics and Psychology, and soon teach here. Personality: Sinjirou is normally the type to not speak unless spoken to. He spends his time thinking. His mental works of that of a chess board, where events and points and pieces and that each move should be considered carefully. He takes each piece and then goes through a simulation in his mind of what is to happen before he is to do it, and then he chooses. Name: Gayle Wicks Age: 40 Gender: Male Subject: Basic Physics Total Status Points: Primary Power: Necromancy In summary, Gayle has the power to utilize magic involving the dead, lifeforce and souls. He is known as a Necromancer and it’s a form of Magic and Dark Arts. His magical abilities revolve around the manipulation of the dead, death, the life-force and souls for good. Gayle is able to communicate with the deceased—either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily—for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge. He is also capable of finding a way to cheat death one way or another though it is not revealed how he does. It remains one of the greatest mysteries associated with him. Aura Absorption: The ability to sense and absorb auras. Gayle is capable of sensing auras and absorbing them, he can also absorb all of the power that the target aura possesses, including its spiritual essence, allowing a form of power absorption. However, Gayle’s range of sensing is limited to approximately three meters and he could only absorb one man’s auras. The effects would only last for an hour and leaves him extremely exhausted at the end of it. Death Empowerment: Refers to the ability to gain strength from the death of others. Gayle can become stronger, faster and more durable for a short period of time. However it may be limited by the number of deaths he can be strengthened by and he’s only able to be empowered by deaths that others have caused. Death Inducement: Gayle has the power of causing death after a certain time. He can kill anyone and possibly even anything using varying means either slowly over time or after certain conditions are met. There are limitations to this however and example:
Reanimation (of Corpses):Gayle has the power to reanimate corpses and dead beings, making them move and react. Usually under his control, but because the corpses are likely mindless, they have to be carefully monitored. However, he may be able to create sentient or semi-sentient undead though it’s unknown at this point in time. Motor-Skill Manipulation (Corpses):Gayle is able to take control over motor functions of the corpses as if they were a marionette. Secondary Power: Scythe Proficiency Gayle is able to wield a scythe with tremendous dexterity and skill, accurately and precisely slicing through the enemies without being hindered by the scythe’s heavy weight. Attributes: None at this moment in time. Weapon of Choice: Glavie The polearm weapon is long and intimating. The rod itself is tall and thin, made out of Titanium and cold to one’s touches. The blade is sharp with edges protruding out of it, delivering additional damages to its opponents. The scythe itself made Gayle the perfect example of impending doom and destruction. Biography: Gayle was an orphan as a result of the great war of Ceriello. His father was summoned to fight in the war and his mother passed away from a broken heart when word spreads that her husband died from an explosion. With no family to turn to, he escaped into the harsh streets of Osiris where he struggled with surviving on a day-to-day basis. Gayle was then taken in by a local gang where he learned hand-to-hand combat skills from the leader, Dath. Dath saw the potential in Gayle and his original intention was to groom him to become his next successor. He doted on him and Gayle looked up to him like a father that he’d lost to war. Dath is a man with principles, following a set of stringent rules and never crossing them. Gayle had assumed that he’ll be with Dath forever but things took a turn for the worst when the gang was ambushed on a moonless night and everyone was killed on sight. Blood spilled everywhere Gayle’s eyes set upon and he himself was left for dead in the living quarters. He carries a great grudge against the gang that did this monstrous act against him and his gang family. As Gayle laid spread across the floor, his blood pooling around him, the only thought running in his mind was how regretful he was for his inability to protect those that mattered. As the weight of his eyelids felt heavier, Gayle noticed a slender man with a huge sack walking towards him. While losing consciousness, his ears picked up on the stranger’s voice. ‘Look who we have here,’ he spoke, ‘what a stubborn soul you are. How regretful you must feel.’ When Gayle regained consciousness, he found himself in a strange environment. Skeletons were hanging from the ceiling and it wouldn’t take him long to notice that he’s sleeping in a coffin that’s customised to his suitability. For a moment in time, Gayle wondered if he was dead but the pain he’s feeling in his body denied that suggestion. ‘You know you shouldn’t move too much ya’know. You’re all roughened up and was on the verge of dying after all. In fact if I did not come along you’ll be a corpse but then again if you died, you can be part of my lovely collection.’ A voice echoed and Gayle strained his ears to hear the male’s words. Before he could reacted, a youngish boy face popped into his view. He appeared to be around eight, maximum ten but there is a glint of wisdom in his eyes. Gayle was confused, this was too surreal to be real. The fact that he’s talking to a young kid who knew more than he should and that he’s sleeping in a coffin is getting to him. ‘Oh yeah, I found ya in that mansion you know. Tones of blood there and the iron scent is so strong... Anyway, you’re one strong-willed male aren’t you? With that amount of injuries on you, it’s a surprise you’re still breathing. Thankfully I reached there just in time ya’know.’ The stranger’s words were lost on him though he’s soon learned that his saviour’s name is Lamont. What was shocking was when he discovered his true age. He’d soon explained to him that he’s a necromancer and had passed by the mansion as he returned home from a mission. Lamont had taken a liking on Gayle and wanted to make him his successor. For the next ten years, Gayle was under Lamont’s wings though he’d never forgotten about the grudge against rival gang. And on the tenth anniversary of the attack, he returned town and brought hell against those who’d done wrong against him. When he returned home, Lamont was nowhere to be seen but he’d found a letter on the table that read: [i]Dear Gayle, [/i]By the time you’re reading this letter, I am probably gone. You have learned the arts of necromancy from me for the past ten years, a good student you are. I’m hoping that after you’d sought revenge against those enemies of yours, you may feel the peace in your heart. Necromancy is not as dark as an art as many people feel. We bridge the gap between the living and the dead, brining hope to those who needs. I am praying that one day you may be able to agree with that as well. Don’t bother looking for me, I have gone for another journey. I wish you all the best. Lamont In the beginning, Gayle was at a loss of what to do without Lamont. He’d spent the next few months seeking frantically for him but to no avail. He was on the verge of losing hope when he caught a rumour of Lamont in Shiroku Highschool. Deciding to take advantage of that, he signed up as a teacher and was hired. Personality: Gayle is a great mystery from his acquaintances who wears a facial mask to hide his scarred face from public. He tends to punctuate his words with sweeping gestures and creepy giggles. He spends a considerable amount of time hiding away in the darkness and sleeps in a coffin. Michiko was born with an eidetic memory, much akin to her father and her grandmother, in which she is able to access the part of the brain that captures every single moment and detail that our eyes capture. However, unlike her father or grandmother, she was not very science affiliated, and hovered more towards the arts and illustration. Although she broke the family tradition of science, her grandparents weren't the least bit disappointed. They often times encouraged her to draw and paint what her mind sees, and what her mind can create. Amaya believed that the world of illustration and art were full of as many possibilities as science itself. As her grandparents passed, Shiroku High school crept into her mind every so often, and the vivid descriptions of the colorful campus that her grandmother and grandfather had once taught would dance around in her mind until they would exhaust themselves. Age: 30 Gender: Male Subject: Physical Education Total Status Points: 10 Primary Power: Conjuration. Specifics: Conjuration is the ability to summon things out of thin air. Using the materials and energy around you and in the air to build anything. As long as you have the image of what you want in your mind. Though you have to know exactly what you want or it could backfire into something completely different. Though, of course. This can depend on your luck and also your amount of skill. But, its not actually out of thin air using all that stuff. That is only part of it. Anything that you conjure is being taken from a parallel world referred to by most users of conjuration as deus ex machina. Which means, the things you summon must also exist in this parallel world. Depending on what you are conjuring up and your training, durability, and your genetic make up will decide what are your pro's and cons of conjuration. What you can use for the longest amounts of times depends on you make up alone. Though training an conditioning can make you improve in all aspects. Many compare conjuration as the power of god. Referring as those using it are people who attempt to take gods place. However. This is not the case. Those who do think so are chained to a life of suffering in an attempt to grasp power. There are limits and constraints. The longest you can have something that you have conjured stay in the world of men that has been recorded is Apx. 8 hours. Before passing out completely. Though this is a feat of only the strongest. Xavian can only hold something for Apx. 2 hours at a time. However, to recharge and ensure your safety to use conjuration again. You need to wait the same amount of time you have for your ability usage time. In Xavians case. 2 hours. Despite whether you fully use up your time limit or not. Going over this limit can be very serious side affects and could even be fatal. Anything you summon that is animate will require a small blood sacrifice. Then the actually effort and energy needed to summon animate objects is a challenge. Though the reward is well worth it. Though, most people who become disciples of conjuration prefer to stick to only weapons or other inanimate objects. Simply because they are easier. Besides animate objects, nothing else a conjurer can summon does not have a constraint. No matter how big or small. Though size is sometimes hard to control for beginners. Xavian, despite his limited time frame tends to have a great understanding and control over his conjuration. He can handle it almost perfectly. Showing almost no exhaustion until the hour and thirty minute mark. Though it is not perfect. Nothing is perfect. Conjuration impact durability can be very random and has a lot of different effects depending on who specific you make your idea. Sometimes it can be very solid. Other times it can be clear and ethereal. Or even solid and ethereal. Which could be a problem and a gamble if you are not specific. Xavian is well aware of this and is normally very precise when it comes to the tactics needed to accomplish this accuracy. Of course, he still isn't the brightest fish in the sea and probably couldn't do anything he does now without the help of his master. Who had trained him in what he did. Bio: He is a man with a very troubled past. Though the extents of hat past are things that he doesn't really like to talk about. His sense of morality can sometimes be confused. Considering the fact that he did not grow up with parents made him have to learn what was right and wrong on his own. Which might not have equaled much the way he lived. Though, early into his life, around the age of 12. He was taken by his master. Who was supposedly "One of the greatest Conjurers of all time." Though despite that fact that he had extraordinary skills. That description of his master is very much an exaggeration. Eventually, after 12 years of training, Xavian left his master in pursuit to satisfy his god complexes that he had obtained only within a month after leaving his masters side. He became a very corrupt and wicked man in his attempts to become a god. Performing and carrying out thousands of un ethical acts and becoming a very wanted criminal in Japan. Possibly the worst. Though in the end, at the age of 28. 4 years after he left his masters side. His sin and torment he caused to others had finally caught up to him. Leaving him blind in one eye, morally scared. With a crippled and damaged leg he had to get replaced immediately. He went into hiding after using his ability's to escape, and push away anyone trying to find him. Convincing the masses that he had died. Meanwhile, he went off to think about the horrors and crimes he had committed. To bear the weight of his sin and look back on everything he had done. After finally coming to terms with himself and his life, a year later. Age 30. He decided to apply as a teacher. To make sure that no one ever went down is path again. So that every young ling can graduate and benefit society from the education he could never receive. (Sorry for being vague. I am not a supporter of reveling everything about a characters past post-rp. It kinda takes away from character development in my opinion. I gave as much as I could without spoiling him completely. ^^ I hope that's okay) Personality: He is become a very quite person. For the most part, he is a kind, compassionate young man. Though, if he is ticked off or motivated. He can quickly become a quick tempered combat brute. Still unable to completely control his anger. Hot headed if you will. Though he cares for most people and will do anything to protect hem and do right. Despite if he knows them or not. To pay for all those he has killed. He can be funny at times though he is kinda slow and not the brightest. Though, his combat skills are probably the things he thinks about most of all. He loves physical training and athleticism. It seems to be the only way to get him self out of his slump besides some other unhealthy habits of his. Very determined and quick on his feet. Always ready to motivate and get work done. Interesting note: When exercising, teaching or sometimes even socializing. He will have his head in a book that he describes as a romantic comedy novel. It seems to keep him quite calm and relaxed while working.
