Good episode. I just don't like the fact that Gon's dad looked exactly like Gon when he was younger. Pfffft.
And I also thought it was disrespectful of Gon to not want anything to do with his biological mother. It's not her fault she died.

I agree, it's true that Mito-san is the one who raised him, but his mother gave birth to him, he should be more thankful.

Well it is true its not the fault of Gon's mother that she died. But still its over & now there's nothing to be done abt it. Gon is jus satisfied with his present life & there's no point in hanging onto the past. So his decision was understandable.

Damn. His dad is a tough guy. "You can try to find me, but if you get close I'll keep running." Whatever he said along those lines...

Well, I guess he's giving him motivation.

I thought it was pretty awesome that Gon didn't listen to his mother's voice. But, I guess some people didn't get it.

No one noticed the bird in the sky that mito saw in the end was the huge bird Jing was on earlier? it was a pretty big shadow in the sky.

Agreed! D: I'd understand if she abandoned him or something, but he seems to have more respect for his dad who "doesn't want to see him". And it did bug me a bit that they were pretty much identical, too. Just seems so clichéed and overdone, the whole overemphasis on having father and son characters look almost exactly alike. :\

I'm not sure I understand Gon's decision not to listen to his mother, but I wouldn't call it disrespectful. What's the meaning of respecting a dead person anyways? It's not like they care; they're dead!

Anyways, Ging is going around ... flying on big birds? I sort of hoped he was doing something a bit more meaningful, not that flying around on big birds isn't fun or anything!

Whatever it is that Ging's doing... Him having a child and abandoning it was a really stupid idea. You either settle down and have kids, or you don't have kids that you can't father.... His excuse of Hunter's being selfish in general is well, just an excuse.. But oh well, not going to bother thinking too much into it.

Great episode. So Gon's dad has definitely thrown down quite a challenge for him. I'm sure Gon can rise to the challenge though!

Gon's dad probably had a good reason to abandon him. But he still does sound pretty selfish

"I'll probably be doing something stupid..."
If sitting on top of Godzilla that was sitting on top of Godzilla's god that can fly is not awesome, then yeah... It's stupid.

Gon should've just let the tap continue. I want to hear what his mom sounded like and what will she say to Gon.

Good episode. I like Miko-san. Gon is also cool, accepting Miko as his mom.

However, did Gon's dad appear in front of Miko on dragon at end of episode?
Anyway, this was entertaining.

Finally, a clue to find Ging, it was interesting Gon stopping the tape without hearing his mother, like, how his personality works. Interesting hearing storied about Ging, this man just became a legend, all we know are stories. And what with the ring and the memory card, stuff to be investigated.
