DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The standard 23 minutes and boy, they didn't waste time with this one, at least in the beginning. Poor Nase... Eh, it was okay I guess. The OP song remains the same, while we learn more about Nase and Mitsuki. Oh she looks cute in a school uniform imo. At the same time, she seems a bit childish imo. Akihito is kinda crafty in this episode. Their first encounter is well...quite something. Since this is a prequel, I wasn't surprised that we see a glimpse of Mirai towards the end. |

| So she stops calling him Onii-chan then. She did follow him even though he didn't say ok. That ninja throwing tablet of cursed blood... So he feels discriminated just because he's hanyou. That enemy from the series also wants him. So she sent him so that she can take care of the enemy. That tablet was to stop his berserk from losing the blood. They made promise then, that he will kill hanyou guy from being immortal. Then it's connected to ep.1. |

| Seeing that backstory made me feel much more closer to the characters. Akihito specially had a dark past and being a part of the Nase clan isn´t a funny thing. Top animation as expected + amazing fighting scenes. Great prequel episode! |

| I really liked this special episode . They didn't wasted any minute . Good fighting scenes and there is no unecessary comedy . Dark youkai anime as it should be . |

It is subbed, depending on what media player you are using you might have to go into the settings and turn on the subtitles manually. By the way, thank you so much Shokugeki for this version! | Wow, a prequel OVA. And so it begins, eh? So that's why Akihito and the Nase clan had close connections with each other in the beginning of the series. | The argument between akihito and hiroomi was intense. Watching this really makes me want to rewatch the anime.... then i saw fujima and was reminded of why it was ruined for me. Also the after credits scene of the moments leading up to the OP was awesome. |

| I enjoyed the OVA as they really got into the story and action pretty quickly. I'm looking forward to the movie that will come out in the future. I'm one of those who liked the TV series as I was able to look past some of its flaws like pacing, plot holes, fillers, changes made from LN, ending, etc. I guess those are a decent number of issues when I look back on it... :) I think with the movie and the OVA, we'll get a pretty complete wrap on the story and characters of this series and a lot of the flaws from the TV series will be remedied (at least I hope). Also, Mitsuki is still the best girl even when she's 3 years younger (although I may go to jail for posting that). |

| Great OVA! I like how they tied Mirai into the ending, as it leads up to the moments we see in the opening. The scars on Hiroomi's back were pretty intense as to be expected... I thought the blood pill was a bit convenient but it makes sense at least. Too bad we didn't get to see any Ai though... Well, I'm now looking forward to the movie! Hopefully we won't have to wait too long! |
| Seeing the beauty of this anime again reminds me that Kyoto Animation can really pull off more action based anime then their typical slice of life stuff. I hope this gets a second season or at least have more anime of this type of genre. |

| Ah, so Akihito's mother(?) got that cursed blood pill for him. So Izumi kinda got the idea that the cursed blood can stop Aki's transformation...I want more of Aki's back story of his parents... |
| 7/10 I liked it better than the actual anime lol. I don't hate Mirai but it was more enjoyable without her. |

| You have no idea how much I missed the OP and esp. that ED "Daisy" So that's how Hiroomi got his habit. Finally "Daisy" time, I love this song so much! A great OVA, and I enjoyed it more than the main series. Now we know why Mirai is so important for Akihito now that we know about the importance of cursed blood. 9/10, I really liked that "Mirai on train and looking at the picture scene", it was shown in the OP as well. |

| Man this OVA was better than the original series, Hiroomi and Akihito are much more interesting than Mirai imo and Mitsuki is great as well. Digged the backstory before the series, and how they met Aki. Also Daisy ftw |

| I missed the ED. Really soothing. So that's how they met. Akihito was hunted by Spirit World Warriors and taken custody by the Nase clan. Sounds cool. |

| YES! This episode! I was so curious to know what happened that Akihito almost killed Hiroomi. They kept mentioning it in the anime so was hoping they would show it. Very pleased with this. Like others have said, better then the anime tbh. I always found Mirai to be kinda annoying, even though she is exceptionally cute. DGemu said: Yup.Yep. | I love the background story ,that fact that they didn't waste time on boring stuff but went towards the story and main mission So that is how Nase got his scar ....and where his perverted ways started too. |

| I'm not really a fan of Kyoukai no Kanata, but this was actually pretty enjoyable, we got to travel further into the Spirit-Warrior World and learnt a bit more about the protags' backstory. KyoAni really takes no shortcuts with their animation (unless you count reused artstyle as a shortcut) |

| man, that ED song sure feels nostalgic.. I have it on my phone though and I listen to it almost everyday back then but hearing it as an ending song of KnK feels really different. Anyway I didn't see anything that good.. though the animation and damn, the art is marvelous as always. 6/10 |

| I MISSED THE OP SO MUCH great OVA it was sad seeing how akihito lived on his own and his house was a mess, and seeing the first aid kit like he's used to treating his wounds T__T what about that last bit of the episode where they show the ring spinning??? looking forward to the movie (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ |
