Not a bad episode, but this show reeks of 10 years ago. Besides that, there should be some wtf-you're-so-stupid-lolworthy moments in the series that make it a little entertaining.

It was really cute! I liked Kobato voice, and Iorogi was so-so, but still was great! <3
I hope that they don't screw up Kobato with fillers or things like that ;A;

I thought this show looked cute so I gave it a try, but it's just not for me. The dog was incredibly annoying, and the main character just didn't intrigue me. I couldn't finish the episode.

This reminded me of Mary Poppins, except the girl is somehow..a moron.
'Will see until the third episode if I'll drop or continue though.

i rather enjoyed this episode, will definitely keep watching. as said before nabe scene was pretty funny, and when she sang was another good scene although i agree the singing wasn't at it's full potential. the animation style and quality were both really well done.was it just me or does fujimoto remind you of nagisa's father in clannad?

I thought the same thing about Nagisa's father. T_T I went and checked the voices, but they weren't the same. I pretty much agree with eeverything you said.
To sum it up~ 3/5 it was a little bit cutesy, and a slow beginning, but like most anime, it'll probably speed up and get more background to it ^-^

Uh. I haven't read the manga so first impression, not too bad. The song was okay. I'm not expecting a great anime out of this but it should be decent.

Wow, first episode was MUCH better than I thought it would be. The art style of Kobato looked very shoujo to me, but in the end, the comedy ended up winning the whole thing for me. I guess I'm in the mood for comedy anime at the moment. Anyways, I will most definitely keep watching the show.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I think CLAMP is permanently on "10 years ago-mode."

Anybody else just crack up at the nabe scene?

I thought this Anime was decent at first, but now I find myself being really eager for the next episode XD; checking several times throughout the day.. I've re-watched the singing scene quite a few times. Her voice is just too adorable ^^

I wonder if her bottle that appears during the ED will fill more as the episodes go on :]

Well, isn't that the whole thing with this story? Her mission is pretty much to fill it up so she could go to that place she wanted to go to after all ^^

Yes, I realize that, but I thought it would be cute if they changed the ED each time to suit the progress of the show :]

Was definitely quite "sugary" as some might say. However the animation and the voice acting were pretty good.

Definitely has this cute and sweetness of CLAMP's work which makes it so nice to watch.
I can already say that it won't be my favourite one of their work, but it's a must see for every CLAMP fan.
I love the look of the main male character.
But that plushie... these theeth... and the fire. He is so not cute, I'm gonna have nightmares.

Card Captor Sakura rip-off is the first thing that came to mind when I watch Kobato even Fujimoto looks like Shaoran. There is a big difference on being cute and being plain annoying. If by episode two nothing get my attention that'll be one more anime to my drop list.

read random sections from the manga, but not enough to judge a comparison. i thought it was entertaining and funny. i thought the animation was pretty decent too, i'll for sure keep watching it unless it becomes so cute i wanna puke. doubt it thought.

Sweet 1st ep! I should slap myself in the face for even thinking of skipping this one. xD

Does anyone know if its going to be a romance? I mean they had the whole airhead girl meets stoic guy goin on, which seems to be a popular setup for about every romance anime/manga out there for reasons unknown

I'm a bandwagon whore

Apart from that, there's also the rule that Kobato must not fall in love with anyone she cures.
So unfortunately, it's possible

It was a cute episode... I haven't read the manga (even though I love CLAMP) so I didn't have any prior expectations when watching. Kobato does kind of look like Sakura though... Just a Sakura with hair extensions. o_o

Still, I enjoyed it enough to give it a 5~

OMG. this is sooooo cute. I live this cute comedy. Clamp is always good, but sometimes the anime adaptations are not. This though was well done and made it even cuter. I just love the voice actress they chose for Kobato. XD

Very cute. I'm a Clamp fan so I'll continue watching but I hated the mean dog. Maybe he'll chill out a little.

Having not read the manga, I'm coming into "Kobato." without knowing what to expect. The idea of healing wounded hearts while accompanied by the quirky Hyper Beam-spewing Ioryogi quickly reminded me of Natsume Yuujinchou, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites. Obviously, "Kobato" takes a much different approach to it than "Natsume" does. Natsume is much more deep and serious, while Kobato has a more light and fluffy feel to it. This first episode had some rather enjoyable scenes, like Kobato's antics with the garbage bags and crows. So far, she seems like a typical klutzy shoujo heroine without too many characteristics that set her apart from the rest of the crowd. However, I am slightly intrigued by her reson for doing all of this healing of hearts. Where could it be that's she wants to go that she needs powerful magic to get to? She seems pretty determined, so it's obviously somewhere that's pretty important, but it just seems like an odd thing to wish for when you could wish for anything in the world, and it goes out of its way to conceal the answer to this question.
Overall, this was a good first episode. It was a good introduction to the characters, it established the mood pretty well, and it had its fair share of decent laughs thrown in. Kobato seems like a lovable lead, and Ioryogi looks like he'll give her the little push that she needs, and do it in entertaining ways. Perhaps most importantly, it leaves the viewers with some questions to ponder over.
While it does fall into some cliches, this was a very solid first episode. While I wasn't totally blown away, it did get me interested in the series.

Lol the heck? Kobato fell from the sky with an insane evil looking dog. What are they? Like an alien or something? Nonetheless, this episode was very cute. Although I found it a little bit predictable, Kobato makes it up for it. Lovely voice, lovely face, lovely attitude, you can't wish for more.

I wonder what's the plot for this one. I'm guessing Kobato's going to help different people throughout the whole series? I hope she ends up with that cool guy that never smiles. Oh and what was the flask for? I guess I need to keep watching it, lol.

Kobato you're so <3.
