| I just finished marathoning Fullmetal Alchemist (2 seasons + movies) and is close to finishing two seasons of Ghost in the Shell. I am looking for some anime similar to these two that are preferably under 30 episodes. So action, military/police, some kind of theme, conspiracy but not too much romance SVP. |

| i dont remember any explicit sex scenes on Phantom, Mardock Scramble does have a ton of that so of that (as well of some other f*cked up themes) so if that bothers you then dont watch Mardock Scramble |

(Ecchi, some romance as well. Harem. Not really what you want but a good watch none-the-less) Code Geass (Both seasons) Code:Breaker Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. (Umm, ecchi. Also lots of funny stuff. Action is pretty nice) Dance in the Vampire Bund Deadman Wonderland (Controlling your own blood to kill people? Why not!) Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero (Fate/Zero is an amazing anime. First episode is boring, but it gets sooooo much better) Genei wo Kakeru Taiyou (Kind of like Madoka Magica. Loli girls killing demons that take over humans) Guilty Crown Hagure Yuusha no Estetica (Bad-ass main character that knows how to get girls. Serious ecchi anime, but the action is pretty nice. Main character is over-powered as well) Hellsing Ultimate (DO NOT WATCH Hellsing. Watch Hellsing Ultimate. Freaking amazing.) Kaze no Stigma (One of the best bad-ass main characters I've ever seen. Literally definition of bad-ass.) Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? (Funny action anime. When the main character gets serious, you know shit is going to go down.) Kyoukai no Kanata (The animation is AMAZING.) Magi: ALL SEASONS (May be boring at first, but gets way better. I marathon-ed both seasons.) Madoka Magica (May seem light-hearted at first, but then the darkness of this anime smacks you right in the face.) Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? (Another bad-ass over-powered main character. Preeeety nice.) Noragami Rosario to Vampire (You probably won't like this...but there is action.) Sekirei (Both seasons) Shakugan no Shan (All seasons. Romance is near end of 3rd season. Tons of action.) Shingeki no Kyojin (Dark, no romance, awesomeness.) Strike the Blood (Meh, bunch of kissing[as well as ecchi] because that's how the main protag. gets more power, little romance, the action is pretty nice.) Suisei no Gargantia (Very good anime) |
| The entire Kara no Kyoukai series. This series is exactly what you are looking for. It is a movie series but it is sooooo good. I've watched it 2 times now and each time it gets better. Monster (if you like dark series with good characters and story this is the show) Blood+ (its kind of a romance but its mostly action) I noticed you haven't watched any of the Monogatari series so I'm gonna advise you watch them. They don't really fit criteria but they are a great series. Bakemonogatari (start here and then continue on if you enjoy it) Nisemonogatari Nekomonogatari: Kuro Monogatari Series: Second Season Now straight action: Samurai Champloo Samurai 7 Appleseed Ghost in the Shell movies (you truly should have watched those first) Ghost in the Shell Arise (new reboot of GITS) Kurokami The Animation Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (kinda echhi but chock full of god fights) Kill la Kill (amazing) FLCL (I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet) Kekkaishi (52 episode but you could break it in half) Ninja Scroll movie and series (classic) Gantz Soul Eater (FMA and soul eater are very similar) Deadman Wonderland Cowboy Bebop (seriously, how have you missed this classic gem? watch it!) C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (different but really good) Black Cat Armitage Akira (classic movie) Accel World Sword Art Online Afro Samurai Air Gear Tetsuwan Birdy Decode Desert Punk Stranger: Mukou Hadan (1 of the best action anime movies ever. 1 you'll love) KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple (again, 50 episodes but its worth the watch) That is all I can think of but I know I've watched more and I've just been going through my list. |
