not really, maybe I'm too obsessed with the hamon joeseph fighting pillar man just how powerful he was.

and now i'm watching this old man struggling to kill a parasite..
makes me sad.

He defeated Pillar Men with hamon, what has no effect against stand, as showed in this episode. Therefore he has to find other method to get rid off this parasite-like thing. He done it fast, with his creativity and rapid assessment of the situation, like he did back then in his Battle Tendency days. He even used his catchphrase. Did you actually expect another pillar man or vampire to show up?

Actually the stand said that the reason it was not affected by the ripple was because it was part of Josephs own body.
Btw, if you haven't got the memo, Dio is a vampire.

all the stand was implying was that it was stupid to think that Joseph can damage what is essentially a part of himself with the ripple. The fact that it's a stand too makes it double stupid.

First episode I felt Joseph was Joseph. In the previous JoJo he devised like 50 plans a minute and predicted everything but so far he hadn't do it once.

That's because he has never done any of the things you said

This episode was stupid. I'm not talking good stupid like how Jojo's normally is though.
I didn't like how there was no explanation as to why Joseph stand had the new ability of a spiked whip.
The only good part was at the end seeing Polnareff's reaction to what happened to the girl.
I thought this season was just starting to improve but then this episode just destroyed all that hope.

I agree with berserker. Using his spirit photo to find tar was classic Joseph, but the camera also suddenly having spiked whip powers seemed like a ridiculous deus ex machina.

It takes on the appearance of a spiked vine as early as episode 1. I'm not really sure why you wouldn't expect it to act like a whip...

What?

They showed that his stand was a spiked vine in episode one.

YES I loved seeing Joseph in action.

It's that old women's fault her son is dead she stopped Dio so the mc's could get strong enough to defeat Dio.

Theirs alot of animal abuse in this series.

It was a good episode. I liked the references to Part 2, with Joseph using Hamon breathing and predicting what his opponent will say.

WTF did I just watch?

Just the episode I needed. Good times. I missed the Hamon.

WTF? That little fucker was grabbing everything in sight with the quickness.

His first main character episode in this anime, Joseph and his predictions are always nice.
Poor Polnareff, he really believed her.
Talk about ugly, both the Stand and the user.

Ew. That's nasty. The Empress really gave Joseph an annoying time. But it's lovely to see Old Man Joestar prove that he's still as sharp as ever.

Joseph used Hamon! OOOOOOHHHH NOOOOOO!!! It's not very effective...
Turns out the user's as repulsive as the Stand ~o~

Gah. I know that feeling all too much, Pol-kun.

Niceee lmao Joseph is still the most entertaining character ever on this series so it was a blast watching an episode entirely focused on him. It reminded me of Battle Tendency since it included some of his past mannerisms and ways of battling. 5/5 I hope there are such episodes later too

that was crazy; what a fucking annoying stand, yet it was also kinda cool... the more creative stands make for a better "monster of the week" format.

Joseph was so great in this episode. Also using his prediction abilities to guess what the opponent is going to say shows that he never lost his touch. Too bad this time it was impossible to use the Joestar Family secret technique (Running away-NIGERUNDAYO!).

I felt so sad for poor, poor Polnareff. Not because he lost the lady he liked (even if they had just met), but because of the way too unpleasant scenario of her death. Can understand his trauma.

Finally an episode focused on Joseph Joestar (hes probably still my favorite JoJo). I'm also one of those who came into this season from the last one not really liking the direction this show went from using Hamon to these (imo) boring new Stand powers. I was kind of pissed that it was never really explained why the Hamon power just disappeared when it was used regularly last season. But finally here they gave a throwback and also in a way gave the Hamon overdrive a send off in this episode. It showed that it doesn't work anymore and sadly is an obsolete power against these new enemies. I guess I now can finally begin to accept it and move on... but it still kind of sucks that a power that has been around for thousand of years get written off like this... :( Still it was super fun and nostalgic just to hear the Hamon power charging up and see the orangey-yellow sparks again.. glad they still remember how it looks and sounds. Anyways, I really hope the Stand things gets more interesting later on though... right now its just Pokemon battles for me. Bring back the manly melee fights... :P

OH NOOOO! That was a terrible Stand, but it couldn't win Joseph Joestar. :) We could also hear "OVERDRIVE!" again.

Too bad Polnareff's hopes about a cute girl falling for him were torn into pieces as Nina appeared to be not that cute woman who controlled a Stand that wanted to kill Joseph some moments earlier (lmao, its comments on Joseph were brilliant, especially that one with liking nurses xD).

I just wanna know how he managed to get the police chasing after him off his back.

At least Joseph feels more like his young self this time, I don’t like him as much in this part.
